Most people are overweight because they can not control their appetite. When we kill ourselves with drugs, alcohol, smoking and crime there are people that tries to fight it and bring awareness of it. But did you know that most people today kill themselves with food...As a Christian, your body is not your own, it is the temple of God and you need to take care of it. Is gluttony a sin? Yes it is. Iâm speechless. Iâve been praying to know which unknown sins are in my life. Yesterday, I realized Iâve overlooked my overeating which has caused me to regain much weight. I realized gluttony is one of those sins which Christians donât realize are open doors and signal our disobedience to God. I asked God for the help of the Holy Spirit to overcome this and made a promise to Him to remove it for my body is His temple. Now this morning this video is released.
Praise God for always answering our prayers and showing us the way. We just need to LISTEN!

Yes, but there have been many sermons addressing greed and waste, etc., but not about overeating. In fact, many Christians, even pastors, are guilty of it to the point of obesity and ill health.

Thank you for addressing this Daniel. I was bulimic for 8 years up until the age of 24. At that point, I had decided I wanted to die. I didnât know God then nor had I ever read the Bible but I understood in my spirit that I was sinning and prayed to God in desperation to save me. He must have heard me because virtually overnight, I was no longer bulimic! He has given me self control I could have only dreamed of and Iâve been eating disorder free for 20 years. All glory to God!

This is indeed one of the most overlooked sins in the Bible! We as Christians should not fear discourse over any sins we commit as God can deliver ANYONE from ANYTHING! He is merciful and all that is good!!!

I Fasted about this and God reveal to me that processed sugars and breads, Junk Foods are the cause of lack of Self-Control and weakening are Willpower (High about of Dopamine) and to reverse the effects is to Get more natural (Serotonin) through Watching and doing thing's that give God the Glory, Reading more of Gods word, Pray all the time, Eat health. Yes it might not taste good, it's good for you, you'll get use to it, and Exercise but not too much at once do small amount a day and increase it just a little to have a challenge. đȘ
I've been convicted of this for the longest time. It's so hard to stop.
I'm from the south and my family always acts like I'm sick or something if I don't eat. I hate this way of thinking. It's annoying too. I know they're worried but missing a single meal is not life threatening and even beneficial in some way. This bad habit has effected my weight alot. I'm trying to cut back. I noticed slight improvement but if it's reallyy good food it's hard to put it down. Please pray for me guys.

Iâm struggling with an eating disorder for a couple of years now. And all I tried was, dealing with it by myself.
I went from under eating- to eating just âhealthyâ stuff and not allowing me to eat âunhealthyâ -to now overeating and eating a mess of unhealthy things, gaining weight and hating myself.
I realized Iâm spending more time with food, then with god and Iâm living in a sin.
But what I know by now is, that I can only heal from this with nothing but just JESUS.
Jesus is the only way out of all sins!

It was good for me to force myself to listen. Since I'm fat. I find that I can lose weight but then start drinking beer when I feel as if it were a celebration. Then things spiral around. It's especially hard if you're lonely. All the little ways the Holy Spirit talks are enough if we really can hear. Oh well. It's the beginning of a summer to try once more!

I found your video while googling gluttony, because I struggle with this, I managed to lose 30 kg in tears, thought my husband and I would share a chocolate cake one time, which became my continuing downfall. I have now gained 10 kg, and I feel so worthless knowing that this is a sin. some have more hunger hormones in the stomach wall, but they still have to be fought. this is the hardest fight I have, a great Goliath,

Amen May God bless you brother. Recently I heard about Gluttony in two of the sermons within 3-4 days. I realized it as a sin because I was a foodie, don't even care about body and being over weight.
It's not a sin to be fat brother. Overeating puts mankind in a possession for Satan to use the mind, as a puppet. Being fat in it of itself isn't sinful my friend. It's the "carnal addiction to eating " an intemperate man cannot be a patient man. And patience is a fruit of the spirit as well as temperance (having in moderation that what is good and obstaining completely from that which is bad)
