i've done digital art for 3 years but i'm still watching this video trying to figure it out...drawing humans i'd fit into the beginner anime category but i have never watched anything other than the sailor moon intro 7 years ago because my sister showed it to me before i got bored because i didn't understand what they were saying

As a realism artist it’s VERY stressful and hard. Usually those who do realism and can do it well have tons of free time and probably have a corner of their room full of “I’ll finish it later,” stuff and I think we all know that they won’t. Also automatic pencil sharpeners are their worst enemy.

as someone who uswd to do it, i confirm it takes days for a single piece and i gave up, i made nice works at least
as a realism artist i can conferm, i do have a corner of "i'll finish later" and i have a phobia of automatic pencil sharpeners :)
OH MY GOD YES I just can’t with automatic pencil sharpeners, I can never ever possibly normally sharpen my pencil, it always breaks. I’d rather sharpen it myself than torture myself with that thing. Even though all the people in my class are like ‘oh my gosh why don’t you use an automatic sharpener, it’s much easier and better’ they should know they can just shut the f up and try to be a real artist who REALLY sharpens their pencil the right way lol
