      a lack of that "load management BS" is the reason Kobe tore his Achilles and cut his career shorter than it should of been, it's also the reason many old school players walk like they've been hit by a truck and they aren't even 60.
      with that "load management BS" earlier in his career Kobe would likely of played 2+ more seasons and almost certainly would of passed Malone for 2nd all-time in scoring but because they made him play heavy minutes every game all season his body failed him and led to his final seasons being as bad as they were

    This simply just disgusts me. I see some comments and all they say is "What's the big deal?, Let them celebrate, Why be so serious?" My question to those people is do they even watch sports? No one pays money to watch a losing team. They are 14-41. The great athletes from any sport are remembered for their talent and drive to win and be the best. From Jordan, Magic and Bird, to Montana to Derek Jeter and to the many others. Kobe is a future hall of famer and one of the greats of his time and to see the situation he is in is simply sad. People blame him for this team losing which is shocking to me. Let's not blame his teammates for being inept let's blame the best player on the team who is in his late 30's and is struggling with injuries. Kobe is obviously going to retire in the upcoming years and my question is who is going to be the guy when Kobe is gone. They don't have a Steph Curry or James Harden or Kevin Durant. The future looks bleak for Laker fans. Their no structure and no leadership. It's a shame what has happened to this legendary franchise.

    • @AHB9191
      @AHB9191 Před 9 lety +3

      4starKT Just look at the West. You know the conference is packed when OKC, the Spurs, the Clippers, the Pelicans and the Suns are battling for the last playoff spots. Then there's Houston, Golden State and Memphis who are destroying teams. Plus the Trail Blazers and the Mavs who are equally dangerous. Plus the Timberwolves who have gotten younger and in a couple years could be a middle to late rank in the playoff slot and could easily catch teams sleeping. It doesn't look good at all for the Lakers. They need some big free agents. Not big name players but at least players that could get the job done and need tough young guys. Otherwise they are going absolutely no where.

      2020 is already a reflection of pain. A lot of people has already passed away and it looks like Kobe's death could have been avoided. A seasoned pilot would have declined to fly and request a limo or land on a building. Mechanical and lack of good judgment might have not been present.

      Peter Phinney really??? Kobe got rings fella n can be critical of anybody on that team who thinks that winning 1 game make is cause to celebrate, u heard him say IF UR WINNING thats all that matters to a champion, I don't see the Timberwolves or the Knicks celebrating n their seasons are ass right now n if Kobe played for either team he'd say tha same shit, so would a Jordan, Bird, Malone, Ewing, O'neal, all winners n team leaders who did what it took to WIN!!! not tank 8 games out of 9 n be happy

      +sam irani yea that's been a known thing around the league for awhile now, kobe has insane standards for work ethic and achievement that he doesn't meet himself half the time and he holds his teammates to that same standard. I feel like Dwight Howard is the type of guy who says "ill train and practice hard and what will be will be". Kobe says "ill train and practice hard and if I fail I obviously wasn't doing enough." People that strive for perfection are seldom happy and that negativity will be hard on anyone who cant relate

      +Josh Miller dwight doesnt take the game that seriously he is satisfied just collecting his paycheck and playing basketball. he wants to have a good time while winning games thats all he wants to have fun. But theres a reason dwight has not improved probably not at all over the years he just doesnt care. If he trained with shaq or hakeem (i know he trained with hakeem for a bit) but he obviously didnt learn anything or implement any of it into his game. For example when lebron trained with hakeem he took it seriously you know why? The next season he learned how to post up and pretty well i might add and he has only gotten better at it and i honestly believe james learning to post up was the one of the biggest reasons he won his 2 rings without it i think okc and spurs woulda won those two finals.
