The new batch of South Yorks are not clean cab, where as with West Yorks, I believe they have considered the idea. Thanks for watching.

So what happens with the clean cab after a fire. Do all the ff get out of their fire kit before getting on the fire engine or do they go back to station then change?
Great concept going for clean cab but imagine trying to deploy BA when down a narrow street and then is no space to open the slide out lockers with the BA sets in due to parked cars ect. More responsibility for driver to position correctly to enable the lockers to be accessible.
Gone are the days of turning out in less than a minute, no urgency to get to the call .now no B,A.wearers dressed to carry out rescues on arrival.Might be alright in the sticks but no good in cities with high rise flats .28 years served in both .
The risk of cancer is too great, especially for people who already risk and sacrifice so much. Every one of my family members that were a firefighter and has died. All died from cancer. 5 for 5. The eldest of them being 71. The youngest 36. It's not fair to ask people to do such a thing when we know the risks are present.
No 1st aid kit?

take longer to don BA at an incident, not sure that is a good idea, and seen lockers fail to open on appliances of all ages again, could lead to increased lead times into a rescue.
Not sure re the e cutters either, don't seem as powerful as hydraulic, some things seem a step back sadly.
Ahhhhhh clean cab/smaller cab all making sense now more cost cutting then, how long before down to a crew of 3 or 4 then? hmmmmm
There are so many former Firefighters and some serving ones who are getting Cancers and other disorders linked to fire deposits,

@@fireappliances6653 Well aware of that and know North Yorks are wanting to try a cre of 3 esp for certain retained stations.
Battery cutting gear seems a terrible idea
Sadly uk frs cost cutting again. Fantastic idea on the clean cab but will persons reported suffer or die die to the time taken donning ba?
Why couldn’t we do like some European frs where they have a vehicle come out with a complete change of gear and ba if required.
Clean cab is a shit idea. Probably designed and decided on by people who’ve never been to a job.
