    the Single vs Double is a preference most people use a single but a double can be more secure. so it is often used in the crown of a wig. I hold the loop of the hair at the end I want a little of the root end sticking up in the wig.

  • @rickygreenwell
    @rickygreenwell  Před 13 lety

    @KandiReed6975 from my experience synthetic hair makes the process much more difficult. Make sure you needle is full of hair and try rotating you needle as you pull it back through the lace. I don't know why but from my experience synthetic hair is not as easy to work with. RG

    @Lacehairwigs The two knots are all you will need to tie a wig and truly a single knot is all the need the double knot is only used by some. My advice on supplies would be to buy a start set or sample I am not going to say it is easy. I have many students that get frustrated with the process it is very time consuming.

    Hi Ricky so I'm having an issue working with swiss lace. I have the Asian needle and for some reason I can not get the needle through the lace to save my life...your so good at what you do so can you give some type of pointer that might help me...please and thank you so much! Your video is awesome by the way!!!

    • @rickygreenwell
      @rickygreenwell  Před 6 lety

      Are you having trouble entering the lace or pulling the needle out after you have made a tie or the process of tying.

    • @prettyinpink2927
      @prettyinpink2927 Před 6 lety

      Ricky Greenwell , I'm having a problem with the swiss lace because im guessing its because the holes are so small. So, I insert the needle in the hole of the lace...and when I go to grab the hair on the needle it picks up the hair that it wants. I go to pull the needle back through the hole with the hair on it...and the hair falls off needle and its super difficult to even pull the needle back through the hole...I don't know how to fix this problem...I practice and on that lace because i figured that the swiss lace is the best lace for frontal and it makes the hairline look so natural...what are your thoughts...please I really need your help...should I try another lace or stick with this pain in my butt lace? Lol

    WOW, this is a good ventilating video. When you loop the hair in one hand, is the hair longer on one side? From what i understand from your video I DONT want to use the wrong end of the hair for the knot. I would think having one end shorter would make the hair look super think at the root and thin toward the bottom.

    Let your needle do the work. Ventilating needles will pull different amount of hair depending on the size of the needle. if you are wanting to only pull one hair use your smaller needle. You may be applying to much tension causing the hair to break.
