Zero is a victim, a victim is not and shouldn't feel obligated to forgive their abuser EVER! that is just invaliding the victim's experience, and feelings. for so long Zero felt like he couldn't even speak for himself, and now he's found his voice. he's not let anyone take control of him anymore and that is empowering. yes, his father did realize what he did was wrong, and is sorry for what he did, but that doesn't make up for all the mental and possibly physical damage he has caused. the pain, the TRAUMA is still there and will forever be there. he didn't forgive his father simply because he is not ready to, that's his choice not ours. maybe in the future he will, but not now. and if you're going to say "well i was this and that but i still forgave them" or "if i was him i would still forgive him" you must understand you are NOT him, you are YOU not everyone else. we all might go through similar struggles, but we all deal with them differently. Zero needs time to heal, and eventually maybe he will forgive his father, if he still chooses not to then that is his choice. a choice he has full right to. maybe some of you are either just too young to understand, or have never experienced this, but has someone who has and still is going through something like this i can say that sometimes it's hard to forgive it really is. even if it's your own family. before anyone says "oh but everyone makes mistakes, he was sorry" at least try to understand Zero and his situation.
