The first bit sounds a little like the English group Portishead, and the rest also sounds like Trip Hop ( a nineties genre that was popular at he time this was recorded). Yasmine Hamdan is beautiful and mesmerising on screen.
i've always compared Soap Kills to trip hop, i'm lucky i saw them live in Beirut many times when i was a teenager. i had a huge crush on Yasmine back then but i think Zeid wrote the bulk of their music.
