    Oh yeah! That 24mm flat slide is where it's at! But like you have shown. Straight chain will let you go Faster! But riding all over town your better off going with the tc setup. Because that clutch is gonna get Hot. In a drag racing type of scenario I would go straight chain but if you want to do a average speed of 50 deal with the torque converter and juggernaut combo. At least that's my experience.

    • @Black66
      @Black66  Před 2 lety

      Ya, that is true. I can't run much more gear on this bike with those tall tires or it is really hard on the clutch. It would be a lot easier on it if I bump the rear sprocket to a 60 instead of a 50 that's on it now. This is just one of many combos I have tried on this bike.

    I'd be interested in the future to see a Chinese belt vs a genuine Comet belt test. I personally can tell a difference using a Comet. Smoother, more acceleration and top speed. (Chinese belts seem to stretch for me)

Also I know this next thing is somewhat off topic but it'd be cool when and if someone started producing actual transmissions for these bikes. I have a ct200u with stage one kit from gopowersports, a zip tie in the governor spring, and a Chinese torque converter from ebay/Amazon. I put a 60 tooth rear sprocket and a 9 tooth front sprocket on the torque converter driven pulley. It has a ton of power. If you goose it from low speed you will be on your butt. But the top speed is still decent. I’ve been 49mph on it. But it gets there very fast. Plenty of power for trail riding/hill climbing and will get up and go on the street. I think I will try a juggernaut and see what happens 👍🏼

      I use that same gearing and have concluded there's no need for a Juggernaut. My 224 powers right through the belt shift and quickly gets to top speed. Very good trail rider.

    • @Black66
      @Black66  Před 2 lety

      Thanks! I like the simplicity of the clutch. Less stuff to go wrong. I'm a small person. I don't need a lot of torque. That could be different for someone else. I'm not sure about the belt life with a Juggernaut, but it might extend the belt life because
      the Juggernaut puts on power more smoothly. It's not so violent taking off. Maybe that would be easier on the belt. If the driver and driven are aligned that will help too.

My top speed is only 29 mph with zip tied governor and throttle stop removed. Added a pipe .38 jet intake and filter and it actually killed acceleration. Tried all different combinations and so far runs and accelerates best with stock airbox and filter no intake adapter and a .34 jet with a pipe and auto lite plug! Not sure what to try next. Not sure why this motor runs better stock. Please help! Thanks!
