- Today, we are installing a set of super cool venetian blinds in the back window of our vintage Datsun 521 Pickup. This is a neat, quirky addition to our little Datsun 521 Pickup and it helps complete the look. What's next? Roof Rack or something else?

Back in the 70's during the mini truck boom I had a new Courier. All the rich kids had Datsuns. My mom made be curtains for my back window.
Cool!
Using a level only works if the truck was standing perfectly level in the first place. What is more important is that the uprights are square to the bottom of the window and symmetrical.
Nobody ever used a level on a boat.😁
Cool look though, now I want some.
Yes, you are correct.
Great vintage look for your mini. My Luv is more of a hotrod but I'm still considering them. Thanks for all the great mini truck content!
Thanks for watching!
Nice
Thanks!
Bed mounted blown big block. The corvette side exhaust would be cool as well
Like the Roadkill Mazdarati.
Nice! Coolest little truck on CZcams just got cooler!
Thanks!! Your Daytona Shelby is WAY cooler, though
@@ProjectTimeGarage haha thanks brother!! Your GLHS probably has me beat though 😉
Not my style, but great job. As far as new projects, how about just a slight lowering job. Not enough to affect ride comfort , but just a lowered stance. But hey what do I know. I had one back in 71, now if I can only convince the boss after I finish my old school vw Baja.
Yep, lowering job is coming.
Nice blinds Brian! And even using a level to make sure they are straight! Have the retro look for sure. I have no idea what would be a next good item. Looking forward to seeing what the roof rack might look like.
Me too!
Only thing we had in the back window is a gun rack.
Brakes would be good but I would like to see what ya do to the seat & floor. Could do Rino line type stuff for the floor & in the bed. I told ya about the bed cover but if this was my truck I would put clearance lights on the cab & have a work light on back of cab. Also I would put a brush gaurd on front with tow hooks. We get a lot of deer around here. Also I would put some sort of bumper on back in case someone rear ends me or when I back up too far.
The Motorized Wheelbarrow is looking good.
Floor and carpet are next. Should have materials this week. Couple of videos in front of it. But it's coming.
front disc brake swap shoud be next
That's going to happen for sure!!
Looks slick! I get the head room thing, but still looks cool ....... future vid, I’d say a little suspension drop 😉
Yeah, that seems to be a consensus. I'll be dropping in lt.
I think discs should be next...or at least pretty soon. Also, I think you mentioned wanting to lower it a bit. Lowering blocks (rear) and adjust the torsion bar (front) would make a good video.
Discs and lowering are coming for sure!!!
Put a stack on it or a Corvette side exhaust.
Mmmmmmm, stack. Dunno.
Nice tips dude! Thanks! Is it possible clear one doubt? Does this venetian blinds not make noise riding with the windows open?
Yes. That is the biggest problem with them. They make noise and the wind will bend them.
Great video!
How about a wooden bed rails?
I like it!
You able to get a split window for these 521 series trucks?
Don't believe so, at least I've never seen one.
Haha wtf never seen this
Yeah, quirky as hell isn't it?
How much did these cost?
They were right at $100 on eBay
@@ProjectTimeGarage Thanks
