I have a very different sort of unbxoing, I have been gifted the Joby Wavo Plus microphone.
I have a Sony ZV-1 camera and this microphone is very lightweight and perfect for a vlogging camera. It comes with 1x Wavo PLUS microphone, Foam Windscreen, 3/8" to 1/4" thread adapter, TRS to TRS camera cable, TRS to TRRS smartphone cable, 1.5m Type-C to Type-C USB cable, 1.5m Type-C to Type-A USB cable.
I love that I can use it with my camera, laptop and my phone! It has up to 30 hours of bettery and there is a light on the front so you can see the microphone is on and ready to go!

Oooooh a “techy” unboxing! Haha we chose the Canon G7X as our primary shooter because we really didn’t want to have to meddle with external sound and microphones, but we’ve had a lot of experience with external microphones and separate system sound on film sets. We’ve heard really good things about your Sony ZV-1 too! The “floofer” is definitely helpful for windy environments and noisy park days. I think this mic is going to pick up better sound from you as you’re walking and talking, and it sounds like it’s much lighter than your current mic - which is always good! The one thing I would caution is that you may pick up more ambient sound from the background, since it seems to be casting a wider directional “net”. I’d test it out in a shopping mall or a busy area and see if you like what you get before committing to its use in the park vlogs. Great video, glad to see that someone (be it Joby or a mystery benefactor) sees how great your content is and wants to contribute! 😁

I very nearly did get the Canon, I wil be honest, the Sony was cheaper so thats why I went with it!! I love the floofer, they help so much when its windy which is amazing!
