A great update, Dave. The new extension will be an excellent upgrade, for sure. It's nice to take some time off from my own build, to check out how others are coming along with theirs. Keep these updates coming; we're all looking forward to see your progress. An excellent video, as always.

The expansion is going to be fun to watch come together. As for the section you took apart for removing/installing the tv, were it me, maybe think about using that area for some type of scenery. Or put it back together, it’s your world!!
The scenery is all out back where it was, other than the buildings, haven’t had a chance yet

Congratulations on removing that boat anchor ⚓️ of a TV Dave! I’m glad you didn’t get hurt cuz that would’ve sucked. Lookin’ forward to seeing the progress on the expansion as well - it’s always interesting to see how fellow layout builders go about their rebuilds or expansions.

Terrific plans on your expansion. Looking forward to your progress reports. Im finally getting my HO layout started and plan to add my updates there to my channel. Once I finish my HO benchwork I will probably revise my O gauge layout and share that as well.

at 7.40 you tell us about your plans for a land bridge of foam. That would work. I made one of foam but added/glued a piece of plywood at the ends, under the bridge, so i could fasten the locks with screws . I did the same thing on the banks. That way you get a sturdy construction and the screws won't move around. I made all the rest of my layout of foam. Even the supports under the layout are made of foam that have been glued with white glue. I have used the layout now for ten years without any problems. Looking forward to your next video !
Nice. I’m thinking a thin sheet of plywood or maybe even 1x4 to mimic the rest of the layout. Once I’ve mocked it all up and built the table I’ll decide

Hey Dave, It's a good thing you did it now before you waited until you turned 70 to do it. I still get up on my layout from time to time, but it's not to take down a 75 lb TV by myself on a styrofoam base.
I really like the black T shirt. It looks sharp on you anyway. I use a smartphone and don't have a link.
I locally had a couple of Menards remodel projects our company worked on. They were pretty slow at shipping anything to the store, even to replace their own inventory. Fortunately, when I order any train item's I can have it shipped to the store no charge. It took at least a week but how can one complain if it's free.
Free shipping is worth a lot these days!
3D print a shed! You have the technology, you have the capability. (6 million dollar man 😁) You can do it ! 👍🏻

Dave, are you old enough to remember when TV's had picture tubes? I'm not trying to one-up you but man, you talk about heavy! Wow! When I got rid of our last picture tube TV I'd forgotten just how heavy those things were and I was sweating bullets getting it down from upstairs. The wife was standing by the phone ready to hit 911 just in case disaster struck!
Oh yeah, that insulation foam's remarkable stuff and stronger than it seems. The next Christmas tree layout I do is going to have an insulation foam base, the old 3/4 inch plywood base just got heavier and heavier each year for some strange reason (🤣) so it had to go.
And listen up people, subscribe to the channel if you haven't done so. It costs you nothing and comes with no strings attached so there's no reason for not doing so. Me? I'm gonna have a look at those T-Shirts! I'll be the first kid on the block with one!
I had a 36” tube tv, late 90s I guess, moved that behemoth many times, a couple times down multiple flights of stairs. That was a hazard!
