"Espoirs Perdus," also known as "Speranze Perdute" or "Lost Hopes" is a beautiful melody by Alessandro Morelli. It is often played by various combinations of instruments, including accordion, mandolin, guitar, and violin.
I have used the following voices from the Roland FR-7x V-Accordion, in order of appearance:

Thank you, Mike. It was difficult to force myself to play it slower. I experimented with many voices and many tempos, but slower seems better for this one.

This first piece reminds me of an audio-cassette from Pino Piacentino, which I bought on the cheap and it turned out that onto it were the best accordion recordings, played just like you do. That's how accordion should be played ! Richard, I only wished I could play my accordion as you. I only ever managed to play in C-maj and A-minor...

Thanks for the comments. The pieces I play often are recommended by other accordionists, especially v-accordionists, or I just search for something different (for me, at least).

Have not heard this one for ages. You play at a very good tempo (I have heard some people BELT it out! - not good) with a lovely touch on the keys.

It's a very pretty tune that has been played countless times, especially on the accordion & mandolin. I make plenty of mistakes, as you know, but eventually I just decide to go with whatever my fingers give me. ;

Hi, Richard. Another amazing rendition. And your video skilkls are impressive as well! I tend to agree with you that often speed is not the answer. I think that sometimes musicians are in too mich of a hurry to get through something that begs for expression and not speed. I'm wondering where yu fnd these amazing pieces for us to enjoy (and then learn for ourselves!)
If I do a duo with Jessica again, we'll have to do it in a controlled setting so that the sound quality is better.
