Having struggled with organization for years (due to a plethora of stuff), I know that an organizational system is only successful if you can maintain it. I have learned many lessons over the years and discovered and developed systems that work for me, and I think they will work for you, too.
Whether you're a busy professional, a student, or just someone looking to improve their organizational skills, this video has something for everyone. The biggest tip I have, make sure to reserve some energy and time to put things away. I get worn out, and then things can sit until I'm well enough to put things away. A second tip is to recognize that our pursuits may grow, and as they do, we must make room to accommodate the expansion or changes we make as we discover our niche. I think after all your hard work making all your gorgeous videos you deserve this new table. It’s given me lots of ideas for my sewing/craft room. It’s mainly sewing, but I do other things too. I’m going to show this to my husband to show HIM that there are lots of people out there just like me! Loved this video, very very cathartic. Inspiring and practical! I am tired of organization videos that aren’t practical but focus on looks! One trick another channel taught me was to create a project tray or clear bag, I gather supplies and the items in one holder! Makes it easy to put it aside, return to it after a break, then after done return supplies to designated locations! My daughter absolutely loves your channel (not a particularly crafty person usually) Blessed and organized days!

Love this, I always do it for recipes - everything on a tray, never thought about it for craft projects. Thanks for the idea. I also take a tray round my flat when cleaning, I pull off small items like toiletries and trinkets to make dusting super quick.

Wow, what an amazing gift, the table is awesome. Yes, my craft room isn’t pretty but it’s practical and organized. I keep tweaking it and I’ll eventually find the perfect way. TYFS all your tips. 💜💜💜
My only extra hint would be to make your lettering larger, otherwise you will still be squinting at every little sign:) I make mine really large, even on tiny nut and bolt drawers...Lot of useful hints in your video, thank you.

@@CanterburyCottage Last summer I took a carload to GW and it felt so freeing. My issue is my physical strength isn’t that great and I don’t have help so I do a little bit at a time! BTW I love my pictures!!

With all the things you have to store, organization is a must, and if you're anything like me, you will still need to tweak the room occasionally as you see what works best!! Love the convenience of the roll of paper hanging on the end, and having our sewing machines ready to use is a must!! Fabulous craft room! Congratulations!
Whenever I can't sleep I plan storage in my head. My dream is to have a huge room for storing all my crafting and home decor. The joy of not having to delve into at least 6 places to find my Christmas decs would be the best. I am currently working on having a workshop in my garden shed!

I can only dream of having just a craft room space. My guest bedroom is a hot mess with my craft stuff. Can't even see the bed. 🤪
I can relate! No matter how small or large my craft room is, I end up filling it with too much stuff! For me, it has been helpful to limit my items to the designated shelf or container-when it’s full I can’t buy any more of that item (unless I get rid of some of what I already have).

What a perfect gift! You’re right, I’m jealous! I have one suggestion, unscrew the hinges on the drop leaf sewing table and store the end, in case you ever need it, it will be easy to reattach. That way you can comfortably put your legs under the table while sewing and not damage the table. Sharing your tips makes me want to reorganize my room too.

Holy Cow! What a great room. Another good place to look for cabinets is a used office furniture store. Frequently they have affordable map cabinets, shelving units and used items from stores that have gone out of business. I will definitely put your ideas to use. I have a recycled 1940s era kitchen cabinet as my table but can add the paper roll and some pull out drawers. Thanks so much,. See you next week!

WOW! What a lucky lady! And I thought I had a lot of stuff! I have 1/10th of the space you have!! And less inventory. How much time do you devote to crafts and how many hours do you work in a day? There’s nothing like the right equipment and good organization to keep the flow. You didn’t mention music, like a radio, that helps calm the mighty beasts, or a computer or tv. I have all of that, it helps me. So will your future videos be filmed here?
Thank you, Gizmo! I probably spend about 25 hours a week crafting (unless I am working on a room makeover). I have been crafting in this room for the past year and a half, but my crafting table was just an old dining room table. I don’t usually film my introductions in my craft room because the lighting is not great since it is in my basement. I usually watch/listen to CZcams videos while I craft. I would prefer listening to audio books but my mind wanders while I’m crafting.
This came at just the right time! I recently moved and decided to get rid of crafting items I haven't used in ages. Anyway, I took the ribbons off their paper rolls, rolled the ribbons around my palm and used rubber bands to hold each piece together. I saw ribbon cards on Amazon so eventually I'll transfer to them.
Maybe in my next life, I'll have a craft room, husband and carpenter like yours! 🤣😂🤣😂

Another great idea, imo, for florals is the shoe holders you can get that have pockets and are made to hang over a door. They are made from fabric or plastic and have several pockets. I store my florals this way and i don't have a craft room. I saw this idea on a video a long time ago, but can't remember which CZcamsr. It's easy because you can just stick them in each pocket. Again, i don't have a craft room. So i just have this on my laundry room door and store the florals in the many pockets. It looks pretty too, with so many florals. These are also inexpensive and can be gotten at dollar tree. If i ever have a craft room, Sherry's flower tower will be a goal though.

Awesome!! I bought a rolling wire shelf from a garage sale to put my flowers in. The only problem, my cats though it was a bed of flowers and jumped on top and my flowers went everywhere. I had to reattach flowers the next day to their stems.

Oh I am so jealous!!! I have a craft room, sewing room, storage room and guest room - in one and it is tiny!! I am going to try to do some reorganization this summer - thanks Sherry for the ideas!! - OH - i also found a really helpful tip from "The Crafty Organizer" - those items that are small and you have one or two of, like shoe laces or decorative little pieces. I put them in a gallon zip lock bag. I cut a piece of an old manila folder the size of the gallon bag (which allows it to stand up) I write across the top "shoe laces" and put in the laces. Then i have a designated canvas box that I alphabetize all the bits in. If they eventually find a place with a larger group i can move them. But I always look there first when i ask myself "Now where did I put that?" ALSO for glues and paints and waxes - things you might have extra's of I put a piece of tape that says "last bottle" or " 2 of 3" so I hopefully won't get too many of one thing. (also from "The Crafty Organizer."
