Ok, god damn never knew Gibi was this fast on a keyboard, 140 WPM and 100% accuracy, the heck? What does she do when she isn't doing ASMR? typing out essays?
It’s definitely a very strong typing game but it’s the English language. With very little upper case letters. German for example would be harder cuz u often have to use shift for upper case letters.
I can only speak from personal experience, but a lot of folks in my age range grew up on PCs (before the iphone existed and all kids basically transitioned to texting and doing everything on their phone).
Now obviously people have different interests in life, but those who spent a lot of time on PCs as a kid like me grew up able to type this fast and consistently. I actually sometimes get comments about comments I leave on youtube videos where they say things like "you wrote a whole essay" and I forget sometimes that so many people these days do this sort of thing on their phones and would have to tediously type out everything on a phone keyboard, but i'm using a PC and keyboard and I can type out an essay length reply in a very short span of time so it means nothing to me to have a very long winded reply to anything.

@@hardwirecars I think they meant that it would be harder to type *the same amount of words per minute* with a language that uses a lot of accents/upper cases (2 keyboard to press for one letter) and has longer words. I speak French and I had the same thought. Someone could be typing at the very same speed than Gibi (a.k.a super fast), but would end up with a "lower" result in terms of how many words per minute they can type. (it wouldn't affect the accuracy result though. Nor the speed at which your hands/fingers are actually moving; just the amount of words you typed at the end.And that same person could end up with different results if they typed at the same speed but twice in a row if the first time was in English and the second time was in another language or vice versa.)
@@lkofdoomI'm polish, polish being my mother tounge while English being my first language (as in I use it 99% of the time for like 3 years now) and...man. we have dumb letters like: ś ć ó ą ę sz cz rz ż ź and more. And all of those on a keyboard....are alt + a letter. That shit takes long to write. Let's not get started on stupid grammar making no sense and words like: chrząszcz, szczególnie, zajebiście, wiadomością, ext. I LITERALLY take EXACLY 74.4% longer typing in polish in comparison to English. I'm actually pretty good at typing in English though.

The switches aren't the only factor into the sound of the keyboard. The case also plays a big part as well as, sometimes, the keycaps. You can always mod the keyboard by putting different things inside them, as well as "tending" to the switches and stabilizers to improve the sound quality. That's why they sound different, hope this helps!

Indeed. The sound of a keyboard is the sum of its parts. Keycaps, switches, stabilizers, gasket mounts, foam, mods, etc. Even external factors come into play, like if you use a desk mat and the specific acoustics of the room.
My favorite mod is the tape mod. When you have a case with a lot of foam, the tape adds a subtle clacky sound which I find very satisfying. Gives you that oh so creamy "thock" sound

I love the keyboard tapping when gamers do it as a ASMR trigger I be in awe the whole time I really like when people have the lights on them
Everything contributes to how a keyboard sounds. From the switches, pcb, case, the materials they are made of and how it's assembled together (there are different ways to assemble it). Sometimes even the mousepad and the table may influence on the sound! Some people use foam or neoprene to make it sound thocky-er. There are some mods for the stabilizers too, so they feel and sound better. It's a very big world where if you want your custom jeyboard, you can pretty much make a unique one without noticing. I always love the typing videos cuz you check the comments and it’s filled with people who, like me, thought they were fast typers.
Then they see Gibi type 3-10 times as fast as them with 100% accuracy and realize they aren’t that fast.
