Altair provides a free license for Hyperworks student edition 2020. In this video, I have explained how to download and install this.

I clicked on the download link from the mail but it just opens a new tab and closes it, does not start any download
Just copy the link and open it in another window
I have a problem. I did the same procedure as told and got the software running. However, when you change the wifi network i.e when you switch it from one network to another, the software shows an error ( code 9 something). How to fix this. Its a big problem as I cannot study the software anywhere else. Help!
Does it include Hypergraph and Hyperview? Or it is embedded in Hyperworks Desktop?
Licesnse is not showing when I am browsing it , in environment variable , is any tool require to open that file?
First you need to download license file from the email which you receive. Then move it to safe folder. Now browse it through environment variable
6:10 in your video shows License attached under License setting above..
But in my system it shows license file None,

Hello sir, I am facing installation problem.
I have downloaded the file and licence but when I am going to install it.it shows increasing Percentage up to 100 and the window got closed.Moreover when I am searching for the software in search bar there is nothing. That means it haven't installed.
May be some issue with you laptop. Kindly consult any technician

Yes. If you dont have official email I'd, you may use your personal email id

Can we upgrade from Altair Student Edition to Licensed edition?
And what happens to license of Student Version after 1 year? Is it renewable (if so, how?)?
Regarding student edition license, it is valid for only one year. If you want to use it for one more year, you have to repeat this procedure again to obtain license for next year
Regarding upgrading it to full version, you will have to check it with the sales team of Altair

Other user profile is not available for student version hyperworks. Its the limitation of this version

and click on limitations tab. U will get to see in detail about the limitations, this educational version hyperworks has during preprocessing, solution and post processing step

Sir I tried today also to install the hypermesh software. I followed by your vedio Sir. Later I done it. Hypermesh software shortcut key also appears in the search bar.after opening the software it showing licence error code 9 like that sir. Sir please reply me for this problem
how do I install hypermesh, I installed the software but I can access only hyperworks
Hyperworks 2020 student edition contains Hypermesh, Optistruct, Radios and FEKO in it. So if just click on hyperworks desktop 2020, it will open hypermesh for you. Watch this video at 7.43
What if don't have any school email id?? Will any other email id work?
Yes it will. It might take little longer to get license file but it will work

I think host I'd tool must not have detected your computer host I'd properly. Please check ethernet host I'd of your system and submit it again.

Really informative video, how to enable other user interfaces which was previously avaiable in other versions like the lsdyna.
Since this is a student version, you can prepare your FE model only for three solvers ie. Optistruct, Radios and FEKO. In case you want to prepare model for other solvers like Nastran, ls-dyna you will have to go for their licence version packages.

Usually one should get the email with license file within a minute. In case you have still not received, I would advise you to redo the registration procedure with correct email id
