Why did you put your things in a locker?

Hey Mike. I usually take a backpack and a large reusable bag, but I can't take them inside the supermarket. That's why in all supermarkets in China they provide free lockers at the entrance. =]

@@ReadyGoExpat can you bring small things that can fit in a pocket like a wallet or a phone? And can women bring a purse in? Just curious because I am planning to go there soon and I would like to know

@@mikelonas4508 Yes, you can bring small things or even a purse. At the entrance, if they think your bag is too big or something, they will either ask you to use the lockers or they will seal your bag and you can take it in with you. And then you will be able to get it back when you leave. If you need anything or don't know where to find, use the translator on your phone and show it to any of the shop assistants. They will be very glad to help you. =]

@@ReadyGoExpat what is the purpose of that? Is it supposed to reduce theft? It just seems inconvenient that you can't bring something you own to a store with you but that's coming from someone that has never been to China.

@@mikelonas4508 Perhaps it is to reduce theft. I don't know which country you are from, but in Brazil it actually works the same way. They will seal your bag if it's too big at the entrance. The only difference is that they don't provide free lockers here.
