You’d think Shaun and Rebecca would be cautious after what Clay left for Desmond to find in II and Brotherhood, and Layla after the way Egyptian gods appeared on the overworld map when she was in Bayek’s memories.
Man I remember the days when we all thought Desmond going and learning everything through Altair, Ezio, and Connor. Then we were gonna get a modern day assasins creed with Desmond. Then they kill Desmond.. Man ubisoft really dropped the ball with that one. Would have been really cool
People hate the modern day stuff, so it makes sense
The original creator left in bad graces after AC2. The original plan was to have 5 games that build to Desmond fighting the templars in modern day

@@hawken796 your misinformed badly. One of the only reasons assassin's creed fans were hype for origins sequel before we learned it was odyssey, was because the modern day was back properly. It isn't assassin's creed without it. New fans dont like modern day, but new fans dont really like assassin's creed either. They just like historical open worlds. The ezio fans used to complain because desmond was more important than ezio, but even that only started because brotherhood gained alot of new fans, who believed Ezio to be the protagonist, when fans who played AC1 and AC2 knew Desmond was the true protagonist, and that the true AC3, wouldn't feature ezio at all.
@@hawken796 also the plan was a saga of 6 games with Desmond. So your wrong about that aswell.
Actually in ac3 is just like ac brotherhood, you can freely enter and exit the animus, unless you complete the main story because desmond is dead

I find it a bit weird that AC2 doesn't allow you to exit the animus freely because the previous game allowed you to exit at any time. I think that they didn't add this in is because to my knowledge, the only thing you can do is talk to the other assassins in the loft and that is all apart from exploring the warehouse. I can understand the option to exit in Desmond's other games because in Brotherhood, you could look for the 5 artifacts and check email, Revelations includes the 5 different levels as Desmond, and 3 allows you to plug in the batteries, check email, and replay missions. I think Ubisoft didn't let you exit in 2 because of how barebones the present day content is.
I enjoyed speaking with the crew in ACB although how minimal the content was. I wish they would speak about the story people and topic, give important historical information, their opinions etc.

i used to enter and exit the animus any time i want in AC3
but i think you cant do that after you complete the story.

Same on Brotherhood. Since you can free roam the Villa in modern day. In Revelations sucks because Desmond is stuck in the Animus Island and there's nothing to do there. But there's another another memory room to see Desmond's Journey we can access if we collected some fragments object in the game
I don’t really like how you can’t exit the animus after the story in AC 3. I quite enjoy playing the present day missions and it is sad that you can’t access them after The end of the game. They could’ve put the option “exit animus” when you are replaying a main story mission.

Technically your existing the simulation in unity and syndicate when you use the portals, but I understand why that didn't make the list. Good video as always!

I really miss the strong Sci-fi atmosphere from previous games...
the funny thing is you can enter or exit the animus in AC1 anytime but you can't do that in AC2
i thing ubisoft doesn't care about the animus very much
They certainly do sibce you're stuck in the animus after all main quests

I heard in Assassin's Creed 1. Desmond will Doze off if he stays in the Animus without sleeping for long time.
I’ve only ever played unity and syndicate so I never knew this was a running feature in the franchise and it does make the game more weird now.
For Unity and Syndicate it’s not even using an Animus, but rather a portable VR version of the technology called Helix that Abstergo in-universe distributed.

In AC 1 to 3, you play as Desmond Miles in the modern day.
In AC 4 and Rogue, as Abstergo employees who never speak but you can control and move around with.
In Unity and Syndicate, as an unknown (Abstergo employee again?) who you can control
In Origins to Valhalla, as Layla and (spoilers) Basim

Never understood the reason certain games like Black Flag or Unity even had a modern day. We all just played some silent character we only seen the pov from. And when we did get someone we got someone as boring as Layla.

desmond in revelations not out in modern day because his mind have stuck in animus program. RPG series have small change animus machine like same odyssey use animus vr oculus can access DNA alexios/kassandra
I still cant understand the big downgrade in graphics comparing Brotherhood to AC3.
AC3 has much better graphics

In ac revelations it's pretty boring in the Animus,but there are quests which you can do but the entirety of Animus is yes, boring

as both sides are good...
because assassins think templars are bad for the world
and templars think assassins are bad...
so shay can be hero and villain depending upon which side you are wiyh...
