Imagine Zaheer Abbas playing with modern bats, adhering to field restrictions, and playing on relatively smaller grounds. He was indeed a fantastic one-day batsman. Just picture him showcasing his talent in today's cricketing era.
As an ex-batsman I love it! Winning the war over a belligerent fast bowler who clearly lost his cool and just letting your bat do the talking. But as an ex-fan of the great DK Lillee, not so much! But Zaheer was obviously a terrific player of the short ball.
@@zibtihaj3213 dear among his various one day hundreds he scored two hundreds in two consecutive one day matches against the best fast bowling attack of Australia. I agree with @zibtihaj, Zaheer was one of the most elegant batsmen in his times (and even till date), but he was always suspect against genuine pace bowling, more so against the short ball at high pace.
