Man, do I wish there was long track racing regularly in the US when I was racing. There was the Ascot Half mile speedway races once a year but you needed the specialized equipment to race there and most of us didn't have that kind of cash or support. My Wessy motor would have done well there, tho....it went quite well on the shorter track which was a touch over a 1/4 mile. Cheers, Bill #187
Fulton Fairgrounds in Wauseon, Ohio runs sPeEdWaY on the 1/2 mile during the AMCA events that weekend. Scotty Brown started the event, but after 11 years he handed it over to George (Geo) Roeder. Brown raced in California for a few years, and Roeder was an AMA Flat Track Professional Racer also. bikedays.com Great video by the way!
