They were randomly picked when I got sick of the same songs on my Playlist on Spotify. I went to a heavy metal Playlist that Spotify created for me. This was the exact song that played and instantly my ears melted. I think this is my favorite band now. I'm so glad that I found them

They're my favorite too. I found this band by the song "The sons of hell", that riff got me, and the solo? No need to say anything.

Kinda scary but in a good way.
A dark biblical song sure but the darkest song in metal history? Far from it, I find this particular song to be quite soft compared to other songs I've heard imo.. 🤷

I was once playing this song on my way to work. It was 6 am in the morning. I was sitting in traffic, waiting for my light to get green. There was a lady beside my car also waiting. She heard and shouted,"That's not a christian music." I said,"no shit 😒"

One of RT best songs, although not the best live version. Can't judge them by their name or one song. I made that mistake in 1994 when first heard of them. After I heard In Yumen Xibalba about 6 weeks ago, I've been addicted to their music. Go for the studio version first. Good music takes a while to get used to, you have to listen a few times and understand it. Catchy tunes get boring after a week. Complex music lasts forever. I personally think RT is highly underrated.

They did, but I cut it from the song, since the song is isolated from the rest of the concert;)
I'm a lifelong metal head and I saw them live as they were headlining. I was there for Borknagar and never heard Rotting Christ before. The frontman is quite charismatic and I should love this but for some reason I'm not getting it. To me it just sounds like the same chords over and over on a very slow tempo. And the vocals are just burst of 1 syllable shouts until the chorus. What am I missing??
I'm not sure, but Rotting Christ has changed a bit through albums, perhaps have a listen through some songs across albums? Personal favourites are Elthe Kyrie, In the name of god, In yumen xibalba and demonon vrosis. For me it often takes several exposures until i really start enjoying some bands.
