I really appreciate the fact that you take the time and effort to transforms these toys back to vehicle mode. I thought I was going to break the hood part when trying to get it to fit into place. Thank you for walking us through it.
I think it'll differ between people, I noticed people had issues with TLK Bumblebee (the original) but mine seemed to be fine. Guess it depends.
i feel like most reviewers conveniently get the bad ones and everyone else gets one thats fine.
I like this review a lot. You didn't bash the figure or flail around with it like the other two videos I've seen of this toy. I actually like this new version of Bee. However I'd be happier with a voyager Bonecrusher and upscaled Dinobots.

I love how much patience optibotimus has when transforming thr new Bee while baltmatrix is rushing it and seems a lot more impatient with the Bumblebee. I also love the tip optibotimus gave when transforming
The vid was AWESOME as always, but what really shocked me was the maximum quality I could go up to. I'm not sure if this is for all your other videos but it's just absolutely jaw dropping.
Hopefully they'll come out with a "custom faded" version

I appreciate the professional review of the new studio series bumblebee, even after watching Baltmarix's review, which I personally thought was pretty entertaining, but still lacked a few details. Even though I may not be a consistent viewer or fan, I again appreciate the review and your substantial opinion.

I just bought Bumblebee to see if it was as difficult to transform, after I watched the Baltmatrix "review". Thank you for a great video.
Hey Paul another great review as always. My opinion is Hasbro isn’t aiming at scaling the vehicles but instead the robots. I’ve seen pics of the new Lockdown and the car is massive compared to other deluxe scaled cars. I’m pretty hyped for the Studio Series and finally being able to get definitive figures of the film characters.

I agree, most controversy stems from carelessness and misguided order of operations. Berserker fell to the same thing, he's not hard, people just try to tab everything in at once instead of in order.
A lot of people are complaining about the size, but I must say: the Autobots were smaller than their rival Decepticons in the movie, so Hasbro had a choice: either make normal sized Autobots with scaled up Deceptions, or make normal sized Decepticons with slightly smaller Autobots. Naturally being a company, Hasbro went with the latter because it is more cost effective. There are a few exceptions such as megs being larger voyager class, blackout being a smaller leader class and Ratchet being normal sized. The reason for these exceptions is that the scale was like that in the movie, and considering this line is all about accuracy and scale, they went with it.
I am interested in having this version of Bumblebee in my collection, especially since I love this body style Camaro and I enjoy the Last Knight version of Bee. I hope to get my hands on this and Stinger as well.
I get the feeling we're going to see a few up scaled KOs of this line. And as for the intended scaling, I get the feeling it's only in reference to the figures in this line specifically.
They made a deluxe starscream Into a Voyager, I guess that made sense
I got lucky with my figure. The roof is not loose so I apologize for everyone with a faulty roof design. However to get the grill out for the transformation makes me wanna die as its really stuck in there
The scale they are talking about is in reference to each other. So the figures in the new line will scale with eachother better then past lines. But they dont really scale with older lines

wow you really took your time transforming it.When I saw this video I thought you would be mad about this toy but you aren't .
May think the scale thing is an excuse to make toys smaller, but you also have to look at the rest of the line. Lockdown looks to be fairly large, and scales really well in alt mode with Bee. Lockdown was also almost the height of Optimus Prime, so it does make sense. All I'm wondering now is if we'll get a voyager Sentinel Prime the same size as the new voyager Starscream so he's taller than Optimus.
Finally a bumblebee transformation not screwed up
Oh optibotimus i praise you, you had his car hood tabbed in properly. So many people dont do that and it annoys the hell out of me.

What Barricade figure would you recommend for this boi?

I love this incarnation of Bumblebee, but the one I got has some issue (apart from the roof that pops off very easily), it wasn't transforming correctly, so I thought something was wrong. Turns out a component was mounted in reverse! I flipped it around and now it works alright. Also I don't understand certain design choices, like part of the interior left empty, while the shins stick out quite a bit from underneath the car; or the tiny wings hanging from the doors (like MPM-3), that could easily be attached to the roof instead. All in all not too bad, but definitely not the best engineering design :/
I hope they're gonna make a masterpiece of the '76 Camaro in the future.

i noticed that everyones complaining about the scale but honestly, hasnt bumblebee in movie canon always been this small?? hes awlays been considered the pup of the autobot litter, where as most movie bumbles ive honestly considered being alittle bit too tall compared to their wave mates. what i think is, when they say they fixed some of the scaling, that they fixed it so that the figures truly scale their absolute best with other figures in their same line. and honestly, given how lazy hasbro has been with figures for since like 3 years?? i think i'll give hasbro credit with this line, for actually pulling out the stops, going as far as joining up with takara, and overall actually trying while making things more screen accurate. :3
besides, this is only the pre-order version-
obviously they intend on focusing on quality control up to the april release date

I think they were meant to scale better with EACH OTHER. If you look at Ratchet, he's a bit taller than Bumblebee, despite being the same size class. His alt mode is also better in-scale with him. Same with Stinger.

For the scale... it’s meant to scale with other studio series figures. (Kinda). There’s a photo with all these studio series figures and yeah the scale is meant for the whole series.
I can’t wait until he does blackout, brawl, and especially ironhide they look AMAZING
4:38 That scale comment is in reference to the fact that these figures scale better with each other lol. So Jazz is gonna be smaller than Bumblebee and Ratchet will be larger, despite them all being deluxe.

This figure looks ok to me, i like the 76 camaro and couldn't find the TLK version, so I'll get this. I can't wait to see the beetle version.

I have the voyager figures already, those will probably come before Ratchet and Crowbar from this line as those figures aren't TOO different. I still gotta get the deluxe ones though
Hmmmm. As a loose figure...idk. I’d rather stick with my original movie 1 figs. But that first take you did with the toy in the box was very appealing. This series may be the first (and probably only) set I collect and leave in box. Great review, Paul! Appreciate the link too...I thought I missed out on these dudes or something

Hmm, I'm not sure about the smaller size Deluxe class figures, it makes it harder to transform because of the size, looks good, but I think I would pass on this one, looking forward to see Stinger, like many people I think. Cool review.
You know that the feet actually have two pegs and most people don’t realize that and that is why the figures feet are loose
The problem is with this, is that this is the only 76 Camaro Bumblebee figure with new engineering, which drives me nuts. I want a Movie Masterpiece 76 Camaro Bumblebee Hasbro/ Takara !
I think they mean this Studio Series scale better with other Studio Series and not with other lines.

I just wish this one wasn't so small. I get that they've adjusted the sizes of their figures over the years compared to the original Bay movie figures, but damn. Was hoping it would be better.

Given what I have seen of the other figures in this line, Bumblebee is smaller so that he is better scaled to Jazz (small) and Ratchet (a rather large deluxe). I don't mind the downsizing if it means we get more accurate figures, especially if the original trilogy characters, I really wanna see a voyager Bonecrusher.
Is anyone else living vicariously through Optibotimus?
Optibotimus if you still had the revenge of the fallen ice cream truck Skids and Mudflap they are a good scale with the studio series transformers because I still have them and they work well with them.
I think the "better scaling" is within this line? that'd probably make more sense than between toy lines?
Rapid prototyping. They probably had 3D models that could be printed at a smaller scale. That would be my guess, anyway.
The z28 I think that's what it is was actually kind of a small car compared to its other Camaro counterparts

Awesome you got the figures early. Did you get them from Hasbro? Or some other source? And when they are talking about made to scale better they are talking about the studio series itself alone scaling with each other. If you notice Starscream is taller then Optimus Prime, Blackout is next, with Grimlock being tallest.
I got them from Hasbro. As i mentioned in the video, they were sold exclusively through Hasbro Toy Shop while supplies lasted. I think they are talking about the scale being more uniformed across this series. We'll see once we get more of them in hand
I got mine the other day and I just hate how things keep popping off. I do love this figure though.

Optibotimus, in your opinion, what is the best deluxe class bumblebee mold we've gotten in the movie lines?
Super pixel warrior 99 I would say battle blades bumblebee or the wave three tlk bee that this figure is based on.

I want a wei jiang upsized classic bee now. They alwaya have a clever trick up their sleeve for improving good molds.
Today, a litttle bit smaller than the recent ones, after 50 years, it would be much smaller than the legends class ones
They keep making them smaller and more expensive, it's only a matter of time until they are making deluxes the size of legends at leader prices.
Over in the Asian markets there are a lot of complaints about the QC on this figure. The Chinese social media is frothing about the "made in Vietnam" (an irony that the rest of the world can appreciate).
He's smaller because he's smaller than Ratchet. When they talk about them scaling better it's because not all the deluxes will be the same size. Ratchet will still be a deluxe but Bee will only come up to Ratchet's shoulder.
at least Paul didn't use a hammer on this guy, like baltmatrix, or try to burn him, like with the legends animated starscream(idk what toy line it actually came from, i just know that's what the toy was meant to be)

I can understand it getting smaller. I have been collecting bayverse transformers since the first movie and i think some time around the 3rd one, the toys all got smaller (around the time they gave us the mech-tech weapons). So this new bumblebee is probably closer to the scale of the cars when they shrunk down. Perhaps. I would be curious to see how this guy scales with some of the more recent bayverse figures. Ive limited this hobby to only buying model grade figures so Ill never know.

For deluxes, I think nothing has ever came up to Battle Blades BB from Hunt for the Decpeticons from way back when. I'm still hesitant on the MP counterparts.
