Hope you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching!
The Description has been updated to contain music!
Good video, one thing I will say is that I like the Milagro Man mini arc mostly for the world building, I specifically prefer the AU version of Morio for all the super interesting lore of the town and this adds to it which I'm always happy to see, I also just really like contained little side stories that are just a fun change of pace, like for example the bit in part 4 where Josuke and Okuyasu go into a restraunt was one of my favourite bits of that part.
@@demon_hawkeye5269 The Higashikata household, Lovers Cape, Honey dumplings, TG hospital, Wall eyes, Shakedown road are all amazing additions to the AU Morioh.
I'm kinda sad that this universe doesn't have Tonio though
@@docilelikewintercatfish9897 absolutely, the take online that JoJolion's Morioh is somehow devoid of interesting locations is crazy talk. I also wish they had an AU Tonio, as I said above I loved that little encounter in DiU.
You should do one for sbr! Great video
@bigfatpug_s1465 steel ball run version is currently being made !!
I just feel like it's a huge missed opportunity that, had Kei not immediately died in Endless Calamity, we could have seen the first fight between automatic stands
Milagro man as a thematic reinforcement of stands as curses is what makes it worthwhile to me, even if it isn't directly connected to the story. It confirms that curses are derived of stands and that the higashikata curse must come from a stand or the influence of a stand as well. And ties it in with the ending of jojolion where the defeat of the stand correlates with the breaking of a curse. It isn't my favorite arc either, but I think that it serves its purpose.
I rly like the idea of the arc and its execution too tbh i just hate joshu with a seething, burning passion. Literally any other character in that scenario would have been more enjoyable than that pathetic wreck of a character
@@vashvana I totally get that. For me this seemed kinda like an arc where the villains perspective in a fight is being shown, which jojo does sometimes. Like The oingo boingo fights, etc.
The Milagro Man arc really took me back to how DIU had offbeat self contained stories. It’s probably one my most memorable arcs of Jojolion
That and it makes you believe for 2 seconds that Joshu could be a cool character. And that has to count for something.
counterpoint on aphex brothers: josuke abandoning stands and just beating the shit out of them was cool as fuck
fr he just straight up threw hands.
Jobin's death is so weak I remember when the chapter came out and most of us just thought he survived because we've seen jojo characters live through far worse
It was a fatal wound through the heart and it shows how calamity can be deadly even through the smallest of things
So the Milagro Man curse actually works from stealing or destroying the cursed money, Joshu acquired the curse when he stole money from the guy who had it last said guy also acquired the curse when he stole money from the previous curse holder, Joshu passed the curse back to him by using Nut King Call to attach a curse yen note to the guys drink bottle with it becoming damaged when he opened the bottle
The rock insect hairclip story is mainly to show a connection to Kira and Yasuho as Kira saved Yasuho from the rock insect hairclip which was trying to kill Yasuho by showing her illusions of things to upset her enough to kill herself, the dandruff was a side effect of the rock insect doing this, Kira saved Yasuho when she was brought to the hospital after attempting suicide and he likely deliberately destroyed the rock insect hairclip, Yasuho later also realises the hairclip was a rock animal after talking to Rai
Part 8 jumps around my top 3 parts, the arcs are so varied for sure
First half is s teir, second half is pretty mid tbh everything frlt half baked
@@Nothisndhdudjdjdj I agree it loses some steam the farther it goes but it has really great moments in there despite that, and i like the rock humans and gappy too much to not have it as one of my favorite parts.
@@Nothisndhdudjdjdjthe last two calamity arcs were s tier though, you gotta admit that the endless calamity arc is one of the best of the series
@@tristanmargellos2919 s teir hype but everything ends up falling flat in terms of plot
In my opinion the flash forward was the worst thing araki ever wrote… either that or how dirty he did sandman, that was pretty egregious in my opinion
@@Nothisndhdudjdjdj I'd disagree on that. I felt the plot was solid for the arc, and I liked the final fight.
I love Jojo and I love Araki’s writing but his use of Sexual Assault for shock value is so annoying and frustrating to read
Totally agree. Lucy, Daiya, and Joshu were nowhere near necessary
Nah, Dragona getting assaulted by a policemen was the best way to start Jojolands 💀
@@docilelikewintercatfish9897 it wasn’t it was just lazy writing to show they’re trans :(
@@Yami-sx8qe he does the same to animals and violence- like a character will have entire limbs cut off in one page and be totally fine in the next, same with sexual assault, makes it look like he overblows what it would be otherwise a more subtle thing for shock value, losing complexity.
kinda like Johnnys first manifestation of spins literally chops up a dude, kinda makes it look like he doesn't have confidence he will get the message across, i don't think its lazy writing per se, more like soap opera cheap drama dated writing.
it is pretty bad tho.
It’s kinda crazy how many backstories in SBR involved it lmao.
Meanwhile yeah, definitely more of it than was needed in part 8, but on the other hand Yasuho’s defiance against Joshu in the WoU arc was so awesome, and Doctor Wu felt like an (ironically) appropriate setting for it so I feel like Araki did get somewhat better about it over time.
I feel part 8 tried to be part 4 a bit too much. It tries to create a town by introducing way too many elements. But the stands it has had way more potential than part 4. The reason why part 4 worked as well as it did was because the ideas aren't tied to directly stands. Ghosts, just kinda exist. Some villains, are just evil dudes working for no one. Even rats are threat just because of the stand ability turn people to jello.
Personally I loved part 8 Morioh way more than part 4. Though it didn't have any Italian Chef :(
I really love wonder of u, I like the view the quick deaths not “Araki killing characters off quickly for no reason” but more so showing just how powerful having control over calamity really is
I have noticed something in Jojolion and Steel ball run
Spoilers btw
During the final fight of the protagonist against the antagonist there would be a character to die before the protagonist defeats the main antagonist which was Rai in Jojolion and Hot pants in steel ball and it would be just glossed over which I very disliked because I really liked both characters but they would just die instantly and just put aside. And with hot pants I didn’t even noticed she died until I finished steel ball. It’s really disappointing that it’s liked that but still both great parts.
I mean, Gyro died before Johnny could truly defeat Valentine too
Yeah. People really glorifies SBR even with having so many flaws. I was really disappointed who Sandman died in the most boring arc possible because I loved him as a character. Same for Mountain Tim and Weakapipo.
Also I didn't like Au Dio at all. Dude just popped out of thin air, stole the corps an d defeated Johnny so easily. Would've been so amazing if there was final fight between Hot pants and Johnny.
@@docilelikewintercatfish9897 in what- Hot Pants wasn't a enemy? do you know that? how would it be better than how it is now if they had a fight?
@@punusername3445 still 100 times better then Au Dio
@@punusername3445 hot pants was never a ally. She teamed up with Diego because she had now idea how D4C worked and Diego needed Hot pants to disguise him as a valantine clone.
She also tried to save herself by killing Johnny and Gyro on Civil war arc.
I do understand the boring part but JoJolion is literally the 2nd best part behind SBR
I agree !!
@@coolnugget just finished the video, couldnt agree more with the ranking dude! Im waitin for that Chapter 5 review of JoJolands btw keep em comin
I think yall trippin personally. Had one of my least favorite endings of any anime, everything felt half baked and so many dropped plot points.
I have it pretty low ngl imthe first half was AMAZING THO and if it were all that good and didn’t have a shitty ending it would be #2. But personally my #1 is golden wind and my #2 is steelball run. Love SBR but feel ppl refuse to veiw its flaws
@@gnb_cristoon the other hand it does have one of the best fights in jojos, with the lifes like a summer vacation or whatever the fucking beetle fight is
its part 6 first for me than sbr. just subjective tho.
Doobie wah is definitely weaker than most arcs in jojolion, but it’s still one of my favourites. I think it’s just because of how much I like aisho and idk I really connected with him and his paranoia. I thought it was interesting that he was in love with a human and I was intrigued by his bond with yotsuyu, even though later in the manga it states that rock humans show no emotion or affection towards humans or fellow rock humans. Also I think it is really important arc because it shows what the rokakaka does via equivalent exchange, but I do agree with you that it’s definitely weaker due to little fighting and more just running away. I thought the ending was hilarious though
I actually love the chase scenes. Also Tsurugi killing the rock human at the end was so badass
Imagine being so utilitarian that you only see value in a chapter if it adds "plot" (this is a criticism about your criticism on Milagro Man)
it does add to the plot too, its a bit of world building and theme reiforcement that stands can be curses (or curses can manifest as stands) which is the whole reason everything was set in motion in the first place
I actually thought this was a pretty good ranking, also in the Blue Hawaii Fight im pretty sure only one "zombie" exists at a time.
Thanks for the video! Such a great way to retrospect the old parts!
We need the SBR video ASAP ❤
Thank you!! It's being worked on !!
Great vid! Every point seems really well thought out, and I found myself relating to a lot of your feelings about how Jojolion was handled (both the good and the bad)
Amazing video dude! I agreed with all of your rankings. Subbed
Would love to see you go back and rank the rest of the parts too tbh. More jojo content is always good jojo content 👌
great first pick and a lot of really great reasonings. really good video overall and i do hope to see one on sbr in the future.
Loved the video man
I love this review of all the arcs and totally agree the intro arc about the mystery of Josuke's origins is some of Araki's best writing!! I do think that although the Aphex twins are a bit forgettable, the hand-to-hand combat choreography is SOO CLEAN
Nice video
Good video👍
Thank you for the music
The Ys music out of nowhere really caught me off guard, good tastes man
paper moon king arc was very funny to read also it was a good introdction to the i am a rock arc imo
Not when Yasuho getting assaulted for no reason at all lol
I disagree with so many stuff but good job on the video
Really cool vid also what song plays during the paper moon king and milagro man segment
All songs are in the description!!
@@coolnugget thankyou
papermoon king arc was problematic but it made me love yasuho even more. Idk being a girl I just related to her a lot in that chapter and I think tserugi's attitude and actions could all come down to him just being an immature child who doesn't understand fully understand his wrong-doings (ive not read jojolion in a while tho lol)
I really liked this part but i agree with what you said in the beginning, it has very high highs but extremely low lows
Really fun video👍 btw could you please name the song at 9:35
My God. I didn't know Jojolion fans can be this toxic for someone having an opinion
For me, my most favorite arcs are
1. Born this way
2. Vitamin C
3. Shakedown road
My least favourites are
1. Radio Gaga
2. I'm a rock
3. Dolomite's blue lagoon
Solid ranking bro. Really liked your choices.
Ojiro returns is the best arc in the entire franchise
Hot take lol
Nah Milagro Man. Joshu shoulda beat Tooru at the end
Joshu supremacy
Still my favorite part I think it would benefit the most from being animated. Steel ball run is perfect and I would like to watch it but I’m worried they would mess it up or lose it’s charm. JoJolion would be perfect for an anime though especially with how colorful it could be and so many scenes would be great played out in motion. JoJolion is a story about curses and Milagro man is supposed to enforce that and show how they work and that even if you did nothing wrong an act of someone else can be passed down to you and punish you and that’s how curses work they don’t discriminate
Josuke was affected by paper moon king...joshu and others looking the same...your misconception confuses on jojolion
This is not a arc video it a fight video
All of them, I love all of them
and milagro mran arc is the way araki defines what is calamity and what is miracle, both are two sides of the same coins. one can''t exist without the other. getting money for doing nothing is a miracle, yet a curse. and joshu "break" the curse that affect himself
You know your jojo dude
Beetle Battle is PEAK 🪲
Imo its pretty easy to understand its just not like part 3 where stands just punch and scream
Idk how any parts were boring even during the “Bad” arcs I loved reading it all the character were unique and their stands were really cool and the complex set up I think matches up with the story, its confusing because the characters are always confused themselves Jojolion is my favorite part because I love the setting too every thing is a character with its own story even arcs like Fun Fun Fun and Blue Hawaii were fun to read for me
1. What cake would u choose from the ending
2. If they make part 8 into the anime people won't like tsurugi
3.favorite chapter not arc just chapter
4. I thought it was incest because what day was doing but I do think it is because jouske is kinda like family idk
5.favorite fight mine the fight between the beetles
6. Favorite part mine is jojolion
7.smash or pass these characters
8. I showed my mom yotsuyu an she said is that a woman
9.rocky best side character even though he did nothing but look adorable 💓🐗
I like doobie wah, the a phex twins, and ojiro returns, actually.
I’m rereading Jojolion now and I come back to this video to say that you are totally correct with the Papermoon Deception arc, it was so much WORSE than I remembered I can’t help but hate Tsurugi oh my God he’s so weird and gross
You underrated Dr Wu, that arc is great.
Wonder of u and vitamin c past iis best and also beetles....and rock human history also
Honestly, still my favourite Jojo part.
aisho is as interesting as the damo group. you just need to remember "oh, he's that bad luck rock human that somehow create a way for our protagonists progress through the story"
Say what you will about Aisho, his stand do be wah.
I think the thing that makes Daiya not so bad to me is that the situation felt more like a playful game to me. Daiya intentionally explains how her stand works and also shows Josuke her weakness. If she had really wanted to control Josuke as an enemy she could've kept quiet and Josuke wouldn't have been able to do get his memories back. Well, other than try beating it out of her, which Josuke clearly didn't want to do, which shows that the fight is more low-stakes. That's the difference between her and Tsurigi to me since Tsuruigi was perfectly fine with Yasuho getting into horrible traumatizing situations outside the confines of "a game" and even "beats" Yasuho and leads to Yotsuya assaulting her too.
17:31 this is wrong. Joshu also uses nut king call to try and beat the shit out of tooru.
and to remove his tongue that one time.... and remove caatos straps
@@sneeze3177 the tongue removal thing was funny.
I like most of your comments on this part, but some of your complaints don't really consider narrative purpose. Every other stand was described as underused, but if they had been used further than they were needed in the story, they would have overstayed their welcome imo
Part way through the vid, you are tarted for not enjoying josuke punching the fuck out of the twins
What were the songs in the video
I will add them to the description later today!!
@@coolnugget thanks man, appreciate it
@@transformersfan-zx8ow They are now in the description!!
@@coolnuggetthanks so much man I appreciate it
Wonder of U and Blue Hawaii are WAYY to high for how low those arcs get
Doobie Wah is a great arc in my opinion
Im at min 0 and if killer queen, vitamin C arc isnt number 1 im gonna be real mad
BEETLE TENDENCY
The third quarter of this part was one of the most miserable trudges I’ve had the displeasure of reading through. I actually had to look up a video summary until I got to the wonder of U arc.
People keep saying that, but I just don't see it at all. For me, it was super enjoyable throughout, most of all in the last quarter.

I admit I did some nitpicking but I but I felt like I had actual criticisms (weak villain, weak deaths, annoying characters)
@@coolnuggeti was interested in the video but unfortunately stopped at 8:17 because your points boiled down to too much subjectivity.
Yes the Tsurugi and Daiya scenes were super uncomfortable and awkward.
But that’s the part of what makes something art is, no? To provoke a reaction and make you feel something.
Also who cares if the guy who passed the curse onto Joshu wasn’t a bad guy? Not everyone in the story who’s an antagonist needs to be one.
He still needed to get rid of the curse and that’s how he found a solution.
The arc not having a defined and designated bad guy is pretty cool. Curses work like that, after all.
Should Araki only ever have the protagonist and their allies be morally good and the antagonists morally bad?
That’s what makes a story interesting. That it’s nuanced and complex.
Anyway, i know it’s subjective and it is your list after all.
I was just hoping for more objective reasons as to why you didn’t like certain arcs.
Some positivity here and there would have been nice as well.
I do agree Tsurugi could have been punished somehow though
I think part of the issue is that you didn't watch the entire video (which is ok) but of course I will be more negative on my least favorite arcs. My issue with Daiya and Tsurugi is that Araki wants us to seemingly forgive them. I don't like seeing assault scenes that culminate in nothing happening to the assaulter
@@coolnugget that’s fair and reasonable.
I’m sure i’ll watch the whole video next time it’s recommended to me.
Yeah Araki’s never done much to make his previous antagonists show remorse.
Even with Okuyasu when he attacks and nearly killed Josuke. Sure he was following his brother’s orders but he never really apologized. And i love Okuyasu.
At least Rohan got savagely beaten up and there’s still beef between him and Josuke
@@axkin6856 the video goes from WORST to best... No shit it starts with more criticism and nitpicking. Learn to accept other people's criticism of your favourite media, the d*ck sucking you want is in the second half.
the biggest thing araki forgot was how to write. this part is a mess
Nah
This Araki forgot this is so annoying. Grow up kid
@@docilelikewintercatfish9897what about the flash forward to Norisuke being dead? That was just forgotten about. I’m not a “araki forgot” person, (most of the time araki DOESN’T forget it’s either speedreading or anime mistakes)
But some things in part 8 felt weird
For the most part JoJolion was actually well written. It’s probably just due to monthly reading.
@@John34bruhAll that stuff still happened, we were just made to think Norisuke was dead and that Tsurugi killed him when in reality Jobin incapacitated him
Dont attack tsurgi....there are hormonal kids out threre...who didn't know to faqk and instinct tell theem to do....that was pretty realistic...
Bruh why you type like that??

@@jaya_surya_a5118 Didn't understand a word you just said.
Realistic doesn't equate to likeable, groping and forcefully kidnapping women is a crime no matter what age you are, Tsurugi was being a literal sociopath in that arc and I have no sympathy for him,
@hermeslucci2890 that kid is bizzare..its a bizzare adventure...try to understand the way it is...
7:22 Bruh that's like, only 3 years apart lol. Your parents probably have a larger age gap, idk why people fixate so much on fictional characters' ages when the gap isn't nearly as gross as other cases you've seen within this series
A 19 year old (who is being essentially hypnotized) and a 16 year old cannot consent. The maturity difference is the issue there.
You do know some people have 15 year difference and youre definitely gonna disagree with a 18 year attracted to a 3 year but not a 45 year old attracted to a 30 year old
yeah forget subjective this is the definitive tier list
I think my biggest problem with JoJolion as a whole is Tooru. Man… is he supposed to be scary? He is goofy, and ironically his stand takes a lot of personality away from him. You know, a late introduction can work, but if you are gonna do it that way, you better make up for it. Tooru left me disappointed, and maybe if he was better, I would honestly think part 8 would be considered the best part. I know, bold statement considering the monster that was part 7, yet part 8 showed us a lot of this new universe and most of the stands are great. Also, Gappy is my favorite protagonist and Soft & Wet is by far my favorite stand in all JoJos.
Thing about Tooru is that Wonder of U is just Tooru true self made manifest, without his "normal" persona. Thus, anything Wonder of U does is what Tooru does and means, which for me makes Tooru a much better villain.
@@laurentrighetti9645Yes. And by the end he even stops making WoU referring at himself like it’s own person since the guys had already discovered his identity.
In the end, all of WoU good interactions was already Tooru doing his thing. And I like that very much.
Fuck Tooru. Head doctor the real final villain
What made Tooru good for me was his interactions with Yasuho. It really showed how flawed the rock humans were and how the humans can stand above them. In that sense, and through the characterization of his stand, Tooru is kind of the ultimate expression of the rock humans
@@emblemblade9245 It isn’t even true, cus through the part we saw rock humans having actual relationships with others, either biological, friendships or even romances. I agree with your statement at certain point, the Yasuho backstory with Tooru is bone-chilling since we know he was there ever since she was a child, but Araki didn’t took advantage of that, which is honestly despairing, like seriously Yasuho was the protagonist of the worst arcs in JoJolion, and that’s unfair cus her stand is nuts, and personally, I like her more than Koichi.
sounds like you didnt like jojolion too much
Funnily enough it's my second favorite part. Having criticisms ≠ not liking something.
@@coolnugget you sure didn't make it sound like you enjoyed it with everything you didn't like lmfao all I'm saying. Maybe I just didn't share your sentiment with your criticisms. Which you have a lot of, and I had rarely any gripes with part 8. And it's also my 2nd favorite part

i think quite a lot of his criticisms i agreed with or thought were valid and i LOVE jojolion
I wish the ending was good. Jojolion was looking to be amazing but it just completely falls apart like 2/3's of the way through.
They should have added an extra arc where the family fights the doctors at the hospital to give them at least one fight each before the WOU arc and added a final battle between josuke and joubin
Jojolion is probably my least favorite part, i just felt like the fights weren’t that good except a select few, and there were many plot points that were either too complex or just never brought up again
You don't understand the Paper Moon King Arc. Turned it off after that.
Please explain to me what was interesting to read about yasuho being injured, drugged, and sexually assaulted multiple times
@@coolnugget The Arc is a good example of what can happen to someone you care about if you don't show that care appropriately. Tsurugi ended up causing Yasuho a lot of pain because of his actions, despite having an attachment to her. The events of the arc expose this side of Tsurugi. Being a child, and the son of another of the parts antagonistic forces, it should be somewhat expected he would behave this way. Fortunately for us, the readers, Yasuho is not a flesh and blood human. The injustices she suffered can be examined through a critical lense as no one was actually hurt.
jojolion has da worst written villain in jojo history 💀
Jobin is quite possibly one of the greatest villains in all of JoJo history
