    - S&B intake
    - Flowtech shorty headers
    - ARP manifold bolts
    - LSX EGR delete
    - Cat delete
    - Cherry Bomb resonators
    - Carven R exhaust
    Recently installed my Flowtech shorty headers and removed my cats. In place of the cats I had two Cherry Bomb resonators installed. Exhaust is currently a true dual set up into a single Carven R. However I may be changing this set up soon as it ended up being a little too raspy for my liking, especially in the top end.
    Once the new changes are made I will upload another video for everyone to compare.
    Hope to get some inputs from everyone! Enjoy the video!

    Would you recommend the kings shocks, been interested in them for a while but also fighting the urge to delete the torsion bars in all and make a coil over setup work, supposedly they make them ride really well is what I’ve been told

    • @jonathanorona7493
      @jonathanorona7493  Před rokem +1

      Personally I like them a lot, I’ve had them for over a year already and I think they changed the ride quality especially on fire roads or off-road. I have also heard that the coilover conversion is a drastic change in ride quality but I have personally never been in a truck that has had it done. I would eventually like to do that with this truck as well.

      I converted my 95 yukon from torsion bars to 2.0x6 king coil overs
      WAY better ride is especially if you get them valved right. Torsion bars suck and then we all crank them up to get the ride height we want and they suck even more

      Thank you!
      The 03-07 classic is probably my favorite body style. I think they look really good. One of my buddies did the skid plate for me but there’s a company that sells them along with some other stuff for the 99-07 body style. The company is called TRP fabrication.
      As far as the front shocks go, since my truck is a 2500 King makes the shocks for it. I think if you aren’t planning on going long travel the only option you really have is a spindle lift with a different spring and fox 2.0 shocks. However I have found some custom length shocks that you can have done on Accutune’s website. So you can try that, or this other site I found where the guy started making kits to do a coil over conversion and you would have to remove your stock coil and I don’t remember if you have to weld in or bolt in the new lower shock mount into the coil bucket. I’ll attach the links right here and maybe you can find something that works for you.

      Here is the part number.
      Flowtech: 31142FLT
      Fitment is great, this part number is actually for the 03-07 2500HD so it does not have port for the egr. I deleted my egr to run these headers. You might also have some clearance issues with the spark plug wires which is an easy fix. You can get wire insulators or change over to a different wire.

    Any noticeable hp or fuel mileage gains

    • @jonathanorona7493
      @jonathanorona7493  Před rokem

      I don’t have any data to tell you any numbers as far as the HP gains but I have a 4 inch intake to the S&B filter box, Shorty headers, full exhaust with cat delete and I use a super chips tuner and run 93 Octane on their “performance tune” setting. With that, I have noticed more pedal response and I feel like the sluggish feeling the truck had on the bottom end is no longer a real big issue. So I’m sure there was some gains, just don’t have any real numbers for you.
      As far as MPG is concerned, on highway, the most I’ve ever gotten was 340 miles in one tank and I have a 26 gallon tank. That equates to 13mpg. Naturally these 6.0’s matted with this body get around 11-12mpg so I wouldn’t say I had any significant gains in that area, however I am also running a 17” wheel with 35” tire with 4.10 gears, so if it were the factory 16 with factory tire, I would assume my mpg would be 14-15mpg.
      Hope this helps.

    • @jonathanorona7493
      @jonathanorona7493  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks! I think what you can do if you wanted to try it is, crank up your torsion bars a little bit then either get a longer shock to compensate for the ride height or get a shock extender. It’ll ride a little more stiff, but on these trucks, I’m sure you’ve noticed the ride isn’t all that smooth lol
