Just bought a 2010 C6 ZO6. Bought from an old man who I know who drove it on the weekends so it has less than 30K miles on it and is bone stock. Can’t wait to start messing around with it. Thanks for the tips man.

First of all Go Broncos and whats up Paradise C6 love this videos. Anyway not a cheap mod but a reasonable mod I did was the A&A V-2 with the big Bubba blow off. Man on the track here in NM I'm beating some of the newer Vettes, i was shocked at 9500k to be able and keep up with some of the newer Porsches also. Anyway by all means this is not for bragging what's so ever, just a big Corvette fan and finally was able to afford my baby's upgrades. Awesome videos man keep it up take care guys.

Great list bro! I dunno about carbon fiber interior though. I thought about it in mine (Mont... Red) but I saw pics online and it looks kinda tacky to me. Maybe I would do stock color interior. A carbon fiber spoiler would look sick though. Also, I'm thinking about a Borla exhaust over Corsa because Murrica! Sound over performance. I dunno.

I have that same back up camera but I drilled a small hole the size of the lens right above the license plate. From the inside of the back bumper I bent the little bracket that screws to the car so it sits perfect and videos through the hole and 3Med it with superglue. 5 yrs and it's still in place not one problem and very discreet and never gets soot from exhaust. Nice vette by the way mines silver too

I also used to own a 2005 C6, I live in CA and didn’t want to change long tubes out every 2 years so I installed the C6Z manifolds, cats and H-pipe with a Corsa sport exhaust and it dyno’d with almost the same mount of power that would come from installing long tubes! 389 RWHP
Christopher Scholer I never would have thought the stock c6z would flow so good!! And knowing having high flow cats on a NA motor you won’t lose much if not any HP

Smart to get rid of the mufflers. 50lbs savings! That's why I went with the SLP loudmouth. Much lighter.
I did go with Kooks headers and 3"xpipe with race cats(found bought new cheep) for no smell and imo better more mellow sound. No soot either.
New sticky Toyos in the rear made my car stick like glue even under hard acceleration in the corners. Got rid of the skipping out problems but the bar has me thinking....
Was the first thing I did when I bought the car is cut those massive things out!!!

It’s a one year steering wheel from the factory 05 and a few early 06s have them the rest of the Vette’s have the three spoke cobalt steering wheel

I had a RX7 too. On my 3rd Vette. This one C6 GS. Do you have heads up? Were you able to hook up the change out radio to the display?
I do have heads up and I didn’t hook it up with the new radio, honestly I didn’t know you could lol I’ll have to look into that!!

Cheaper alternative to suspension upgrade is c6z06 shocks and c6z51 bars. All in for less that the JO sways.
Can I install long tube open headers and straight pipe it but keep the mufflers for inspection? In NC you will get pulled over for the slightest sound..

What kind of trim kit did you get for the pioneer stereo for your vette?
I installed a pioneer AVH-X5800BHS it has a gap on the left and right side even with the pioneer AVH-X5800BHS trim kit.

That’s a good deal for something low mileage. Only thing I can say bad about it is if your planning on going super high horse power seeing it is the one year vette like I have but for a daily, you can’t go wrong at that price point and low mileage
I can relate, Just bought a Beautiful Millennium Yellow, wish I could show you guys. Got it last week in PA for $20K with 31K, one owner clean Carfax. I was on the Market for about a Month Deciding what to buy for $20K. I came across Lots of Vettes, Z06, too much Money but the HP is ridiculous Fast. I'm not a crazy Driver, I love the Looks, the comments I've been getting everywhere I go. So, spending $20K on a C6 with Double Removable Roof plus Touch screen, well worth it. I can Relate!! They go for mid $20s with even more miles. Good Luck Guys!!

If you take out the muffler how does that work with emissions testing?
May fail a visual inspection... But mufflers don't affect emissions. Take out your cats if you wanna fail emissions outright. 😉
I don't know your location so maybe mufflers don't matter but most states require them. How do you get by without them legally?I see the lic plates. No mufflers required in CT? In Colo state requires mufflers and cat converter. I have a 2008 C6, love it.
Honestly as long as I don’t drive like an asshole most cops give me thumbs up when I drive and at normal speeds it’s kinda quiet under load. Now if I was driving a Honda or something I’d be pulled over in a heart beat I used to get stopped all the time in my RX7 with this no trouble at all

busaracer590 dam hopefully they find the issue electrical can be tough some times. I used plasti dip and did it myself costed about ten bucks and took about 20 min

What state are you in?? Looking to buy a c6 next but have always had awd in PA with snow in winter. Any problems at all in the snow??
Never any issues, I’m in CT they make snow tires in corvette spec, cause they are the same size as the Porsche suvs I don’t drive mine in the winter any more but I used to put snow tires on this and daily it year round no issue, granted if there’s 2 ft of snow I’ll wait a day for the plows to catch up but other than that perfect in the winters as well as summer you’ll love a C6!
Did you have the z51 package and still want to upgrade your shocks and sway bars?
James Prewoznik non z51 it made a massive difference to the handling and ride, when then stock magnetic ride was good and not blown it worked well but not having that jump on turns with the new shocks and sway bars was worth every dollar

I'm curious if you think when buying a used Vette that you're going to modify, why not buy a good used ZO6 from the start?
Depends on your end goal I bought me base model and all things to make a 850whp turbo car for less then the price of a z06. I knew I was gonna change everything on the car any way so the base worked best if your gonna keep it mostly stock with slight mods go z06. At the end of the day it came down to money at the time if could have afforded the z06 plus the turbo mods I would have gone that way
my first mistake was buying a 09 narrow body base Vette without the large brimbo 4 piston brakes, and dumping a ton of money into it to be a Z06... I soon sold it and bought the 2012 3LT Grandsport. Its a loaded WideBody Z06 without the 505 LS7 dry sump. ( these motors are flaky) After dumping the money in the right spots of the GS car Im way happier about the Vette. The stage 3 edelbrock supercharger will bring me to 640hp. and ill have proper braking suspension and rubber to work with me, safely. You're are right Sir..If you're going to build a C6 Corvette, start with a Z06 or Grandsport wide body and go from there. Brake caliper/slotted rotor & new master conversion alone is $5k the 3LT package- GPS HUD Display memory 6 way heated seats are stuff you'll want in your Vette sooner or later.

No cats I did my inspection right before I removed everything I’ll find out what happens in six months when emissions is due again
@@NRMotorsports check put my channel, i just got a sweet 2007 corvette with just a corsa cat back exhaust. But its got a p0420 check engine light for cats not working as good as they should. Im hoping a bottle of cataclean does the trick because at this point i just wanna get it inspected

Yes but it’s not awful it’s really bad between 55-65 anything before or after that is good but I did it this way cause the turbo should quiet it right up next month
Pick up some LED's from Vette lights for your interior and exterior lighting. They make a super bright led for your license plate, that will totally enhance your vision while making backing up a breeze. Cheers !

What model pioneer stereo is that? Also, did you need to get a new wire harness kit and another module for the powered Bose speakers?
Honestly it was two years ago I don’t remember the model I wanna say it was 4300 and yes you need the Bose adapter
Also did the plug and play harness for it worked like a dream
Paradise C6 good stuff. When you changed the radio, did the sound quality and levels increase? Right now, the stock radio sounds like crap which is shocking since the Bose speakers are quality. The double din unit I have looks nice, but the functionality is terrible (with the exception of the “corvette graphic” on the standby screen).
EAS NJ a little but the Bose speakers in these c6 Vette’s are crap my gmc sounds ten times better I will be changing mine out at some point
Paradise C6 I agree. When you find formidable replacements, let me know or post it. Not sure what to get since we have powered speakers. Not sure if there is a direct cross or we need to go a different route due to the Bose amp system in each speaker.

Eventually I will, most likely I’ll do the rpm bolt in cage and when I need more safety go with a custom one. Figured make big power then make it look good then worry about safety stuff lol. Because safety 3rd lol
I don't have a corvette, but I do have the 2015 chevy ss sedan, and i have magnetic ride suspension. Please enlighten me how to turn that off, because i'm literally going thru the same issues.. limp mode, and nothing more than 84 MPH
With the c6 I had to go into the computer with a tech 2 and just shut off the suspension setting for the magnetic ride, I’m not totally positive but i think with the new ones like your you need to get the resistors as well to trick the computer to get it to come out of limo mode but try shutting it off in the bcm first and see if it work the dealer would do anything for me I had to bring it to a buddy’s shop and in five minutes I was back to normal
It needs to be done with the gm diag tool a snap on or aftermarket one cant get into the bcm and turn things on and off

It’s tuned so no check engine lights or anything just gotta mock up a cat shield to make it look like it has one lol but I did emissions 2 days before I straight piped it so I still have a year and a half till it’s due again

LitoTheTruth honestly no clue I did the cam and exhaust at the same time between the both it was almost a 100whp gain

LitoTheTruth stage 4 btr turbo cam my last build had the ms3 cam from Texas speed which is a high lift and over lap NA cam and that made 480 to the wheels which was almost 150whp gain
How loud is it (both outside for pedestrians and inside)? Mine's completely stock right now, not sure if I want to straight pipe it or buy a axleback exhaust. =)
FreemaN1338 when you get on it, it’s loud as fuck outside but 6th gear cruising you can’t tell and on the inside it’s not bad, honestly if you don’t do headers just straight pipe the axle back for 50 bucks and you love it just enough to know you have a v8 that’s what I did before I put the long tubes on
I have a C6Z with the same muf delete, how much louder was it after adding the headers? I'd like to retain the cats (cleaner rear bumper and less odors).
SS OFFSHORE it’s ten times louder with headers and no cats not so loud it’s annoying to drive but you will be heard coming from a block or two away no experience with having cats but I would imagine they would quiet it up slightly
I'm sure cats quiet things down considerably, so I'm guessing only 5 times louder, LOL! Thanks for the prompt reply!

Super easy just go in to the settings for the suspension and turn it off took maybe 5 minutes

Jesse Joe if you have the switch to go in to sport in the center console you have magnetic ride but either way start with the swap bars honestly they made the most difference I would have left the magnetic ride shocks if my weren’t blown
