To be honest, I'm kinda proud of him! In the first fight, he used to cry for "Mommy!" ... but now.. no matter how cuckoo (HAH PUNS) he may be, he's improved a lot. And a 1 hit KD move is amazing with a boxer who started off in the Minor Circuit.
He genuinely looks like an old "fencing" master named Charles Charlemont who was a central figure in french martial arts : both have same short haircut, handlebar mustache, disciplinary approach to boxing and are teachers.
Hes actually my favorite boxer because: 1. Soundtrack (sounds like a boss music) 2. Hes German (im not german but I know this launguage) 3. The change in bravery

Von Kaiser is my favorite. Even though his trauma is kinda funny, you feel sorry for him because he's at the stage of change - being the oldest of the boxers; and with his man's-man war veteran demeanor, losing to kids (and the kids laughing at him) had to be demoralizing to him. Yet he gets a satisfying redeeming arc. He's no longer shivering and crying for mommy, or scared to take on Little Mac in TD mode. Also, if you slow down the footage as Von slaps his face before doing AAAATACKUH, you can see that he's fighting through his trauma which result in him letting out that one hit KD. Relatable in life - getting over change or trauma doesn't mean that you won't fight it anymore. For a game with a simple plot, the Punch Out team did an excellent job on all the characters, but especially on Von Kaiser. Stinks that you fight him before that sissy Disco Kid though :/
Intro: Ever since learning of Little Mac's World Title win, Von Kaiser has decided to get back into shape, train and even cut his hair, so he could pose as an even bigger threat when he challenges Little Mac for the title.
I feel like I want this guy to be a major badass in his prime, like a seriously fast and deadly opponent. If they ever made a prequel where you play as Doc Louis on his road to champion, Von Kaiser should be horrifyingly powerful. Bust out that Von Kaiser Wave and dodge your star punches kinda bullshit.
Von Kaiser was really on the verge of victory at 3:49, leading 2 knockdowns to none halfway through the round. He may have even been leading in points or dead even if it came to a decision. Nearly stole a win there. Definitely a 180. I'd have to say he's probably the most improved of all the TD fighters compared to the first fight bouts.
The funny thing is that you can hear the distinctive sound of a gun getting cocked before shooting when Von Kaiser is about to punch Little Mac, and also you can hear a bullet shot while Von Kaiser is bein TKO'd
I've always found the between round clip of von kaiser polishing his boots and sighing so relatable. Sometimes those little moments of peace and quiet really make all the difference.

I actually had some trouble with TD Von Kaiser...that damned "UOOOHHH TACO!!!" Attack. I had to recover with that cutscene where it looks like Little Mac is gonna get KO'd, and had to press 1/2 like hell.... I will never underestimate even noobs in TD ._.
this be by far your best fight simply because of the sense of danger that in Round 2, another sucessful Kaiser Charge would have ended the fight in Von Kaisers favor. Well played!
That's Kaiser's special move. After he gets knocked down, he comes back and does a very dangerous hook that will knock you down, even at full health. You just have to dodge the right way to avoid it.
I know how to get stars against him. 1. Punch him while he prepares delayed jab. 2. After he dodges a punch, give him a left hook (if he dodged to your left) or a right hook (if he dodged to your right) while he watches you fail to land your punch in dirty admiration. 3 & 4. When he prepares to give you an uppercut, give him a left jab (if it's a left uppercut) or right jab (if it's a delayed right uppercut). 5 & 6. Jab him when he fakes an uppercut. At first, I thought I heard "Tuntenkaffee" but he just understressed the "A" again.

One of my favorite characters in the game. I just love how hellbent he gets at trying to defeat you, and that it becomes psychotic after a point.
