Bolton's Stu Francis might have been late to the Crackerjack party, he was the show's final presenter from 1980 to 1984 - but it's his many catchphrases that people remember most.

Brilliant comedy with fabulous views and a daring driving exploration accompanied by an inspirational choice of songs (which I always have to look up on Spotify)!. Whenever the French Résistance gets mentioned, I think of my favorite line from a Pink Panther movie when Inspector Clousseau was having a rumble in the hay with a beautiful spy. Maybe one thing better than driving through a little village is walking through it. I recall when Tim used to walk around Villefranche, Antibes and Ferrat sharing his observations, insights, recollections and frustrations. The appearance of Mr Boo was always a treat with his bright eyes, sangfroid and fluency in French and Italian. I enjoyed eavesdropping on chats with locals, sharing the lunch table and hearing comments about food and prices--an expat as insider on the Riviera. Now the show is dominated by the car (travels and travails of a Citroen Ami), everyplace is viewed through a windshield, and Tim and Mr Boo have become supporting actors. It's as though Mr Toad had driven off and forgotten Mole, Ratty, Badger and Halloween.

Hi Tim, after watching your latest excellent video it made me realise how good and confident your driving is now, I remember your first tentative steps with Elton in that car park when it was delivered.
Any chance of you test driving the Microlino ?

showing your age and Britishness, The Mini Moke Rally was a Citroen Mehari (2CV based jeep) rally.

Those Mini Mokes are in fact Citroen Mahari built in the 60s to 70s body panels made from plastic. Her in UK a gentleman on you tube going by the name of Modern Hero’s has just taken delivery of the first Ami in which he will be posting videos on ,let’s hope he’s as entertaining as you both great content as usual.

Honestly you two are the best adverts for owning an Amy and for the complete practicality of what it can do. I’ve watched loads from the U.K. and it’s honestly like looking at Citroen PR films.
Do you have a garage for yours or do you keep it in the driveway?

Great to continue the Belle Époque adventure and enjoy more laughs and smiles! Good it was just Elton getting stuck in a medieval moat and not his rubber band that popped. What was it 'that AMI-care' suggested, Mr. Boo do, give a push?
The Citroen Ami seems the perfect vehicle to explore and enjoy the Riviera, and hopefully if I by the time I might make it there, there will be 'Me and Mon Ami' "Riviera Challenge AMI and flat rentals to make the visit fun magical and affordable! It would be fun to see theme-wrapped namesake Ami's such as, 'Johnny', 'Grace', 'Winston', 'Jacqueline', ' Brigitte', ' Cary', 'Gordon', '007' and even 'Hitch' prowling the coast and mountain villages.
Interesting also to see 'Hitch' make a cameo (I'll have to revisit the film now). My dad and one of his buddies worked for Hitchcock once, and quite liked him. My mom loved him.
Thanks Again, and until next week: "Stay Charged!"

@@MeandMonAmi I can't get too much of Belle Epoque, and the other driving tunes (The Swedish C&W was fun too).
I'll dig through your archives for something on Belle Époque, but has some of the other friends of the channel mentioned they love and miss your Walk-n-talk history segments, might a feature on the Belle Époque with visits to reminders of that era that remain, and their cultural significance be worth doing?

Very Good Episode. I admit I was a bit worried about Elton right at the start, so glad it was easily solved. I wonder what would happen if you both went to a beautiful place, got your easels out and started painting the view. Would they be good enough to go up in a Gallery?

When I saw this in the video previous to this one I did think that the left rear wheel had lost traction because of the camber of the road, and as it was spinning faster than the right the differential had then put all the power to the left rear wheel and nothing to the right rear. Just a limit to how much articulation there is in the suspension.
