The 900 Turbo 16S was such a good car! We had a brandnew in bordeaux-red back in 1988 when I was 5 years old. Back then, my father had increased the charging pressure of the turbo and achieved far more than 175 hp. On the Autobahn, you could annoy Porsches with that. The nice thing was that Saab drivers always greeted each other in Germany back then. Great car! So many memories.

This is not a turbo 16S (FPT or FullPressureTurbo) with 160-185 HP. This is a 900 S (LightPressureTurbo or LPT or Ecopower in Italy) with 141 HP. Look at the isntruments with no pressure-gauge like on the 16S. But its probably well going.

@@Steinersgarage Read again what i said: only Saab 900turboS (Turbo 16S or Aero or SPG in the USA) had the special wild leather inlets on the seats, LEATHER doorplanels and some other special things to differentiate them from a normal turbo model. The shown model in the video is one of the many sold 900S (or 900ep as they were called in Italy) mit 141hp, turbocharger, no intercooler, no apc-system. You could say they just put in different pistons for the compression ratio, a different exhaust manifold and then the turbocharger, nothing else. And all 900S/ep had the Lucas injection system, not the Bosch one. Despite 900i (16V), 900turbo (16V) and 900turboS could be with Lucas or Bosch injection system, there was no real pattern there in the later model years. Some have that, some have that.

You might have problems seeing things like elevated traffic lights but you failed to notice that you get a better view of everything else thanks to those A-pillars. That view out, and the fact that directing of airflow down the sides of the car hugely benefits directional stability, is why the likes of Koenigsegg and other designers who actually think things through (making form follow function) use wrap-around windscreens.

For the people that say it is LPT ............not necessarily ... 100's of people have fitted either apc kits or simply boosted up LPT's to , and beyond standard t16s/aero/spg level. It is likely that it started (or possibly still) an LPT becuase it does not have a boost gauge .. but someone has fitted an after market unit .. so it is highly likely to be modified
