Ian Hill - Bajo
Scott Travis - Batería - Hudba
one of the most underrated metal songs of all time? i think so.
Yup
I would call it overrated. Too many people like it and I don't get it.
And finally you sang it... I´d really love if you made full a cover
here from ur last vid lol
Yup, had to come check it out after watching your vid.
This song is a masterpiece.
Incredible....ahhh love it
Yes and quite underrated!
the whole album is
A massively underrated masterpiece, 234 years ahead of its time, a tour de force unlike any other...
It has its moments but doesn't quite stick the landing
Such an underrated banger, the Ripper Owens Priest era in general is underrated as hell
You got that right he filled the spot just like what happened with ac/dc
I'll be real, Jugulator is a solid 9-9.5/10. Demolition, is maybe a 7 at best. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE RIPPER AND HALFORD! Ripper is literally in my top 3 favorite Metal Vocalists of all time! Jugulator is such a HEAVY, BADASS, AMAZING METAL ALBUM!
i so wish this album was on spotify
F
@spotify
It's sad to think that if any other band had put out a song like this they'd have become very well known, but because this was made under the Judas Priest name without fitting the Judas Priest mold, it got dismissed unfairly.
Very true!
I've noticed this has happened with Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson's solo albums, too. There's some great stuff there, but because they're back with their bands, it never gets the notice it should.
There was no problem or fault with this record whatsoever as far as quality heavy metal is concerned although the very harsh and darker direction of it probably didn't go down well with those looking for a more classic Priest sound. This album's only crime was the fact that it wasn't Rob singing on it.
This is easily one of the most epic songs that Judas Priest ever did. On any one of the albums on which Halford sang it would be considered a classic.
Yeah this comment is very true unfortunately
such an under-rated album
Under-rated song. The album(s) during the Ripper's era were just badly written, and were instrumentally boring. just typical modern metal.
Nah, Jugulator is underrated through and through
Out of the two Tim Ripper Owens albums, Jugulator is my favorite. Demolition I haven’t listened to much of, but I know some people out there give it a lot of crap. I don’t know why.
Blood stains and Bullet train are another Two great metal songs. Headbangers metal no matter The time.
You can down Ripper all you want. But this is his legacy. Best intro he ever did. One of the best intros ever.
Did he personally compose this one? It would be a huge masterpiece then
one of the best metal singers of all time, right up there with Halford.
Nicky T Listen to Death's cover of Painkiller. If I had to put someone on their tier, it'd be Chuck Schuldiner... and he wasn't even known for screams.
Darren Pinson ...I need to give that a listen ..thanks bud
Darren Pinson , seriouly !!! Chuck really fucked the song.
@@avadakedavra69 Death's version as well as Chucks's vocals are overrated. He's no longer with us but no way. The Death cover is terrible. Halford had soaring screams, cleans and power. Chuck didn't even come close to any of that and it sounded like he was about to pass out. Owens performed Painkiller better than Chuck.
@@pikkon899 Most of that is bullshit. I never said Schuldiner was better than Halford. I just said he's on that tier. And on top of that, I said Schuldiner was never known for his screams. He's got a HUGE range because of that. And who cares if Halford has cleaner screams? The whole point of those screams in that song were intended to have distortion, so Schuldiner's gritty falsettos were on point.
All of that said, that may be your opinion, but I highly disagree.
Ian Hill needs love too! The bass line at the end is freaking awesome and holds the ending together.
+Mike Hughes This imo is Ian's album to shine.
Hill is just one humble amazing bass guitarist
Mike Hughes. Ian Hil just awesome period
It's really his band.He and KK formed it.But now it's really just down to Tipton and Halford now regarding decisions.Even getting the KK doppelganger that plays with them now and is pushed to the front in pictures because he is young is their decision.
I couldn't be more agree!
In my opinion one of the best Judas Preist songs ever
An underrated masterpiece on an equally underappreciated album.
Painkiller and Jugulator where my favourite albums from JK.
JK? You meant JP bro
the best song from the album.
@Chris Wimberly Abductors is good
Not really a Judas Priest fan, just like metal in general. What exactly is the hate for this album? I admit it's nothing like the other albums (I love Painkiller), but I really liked the songs on this.
True. And Bullet Train is the second. =)
@@atmosrex7126 A lot of people don't like change and Ripper's 2 albums were a massive change in direction.
Burn in Hell is another awesome song from this album.
Amazing screams wow, that voice of tim owens
Ye he deserves way more recognition than he gets! One of the best metal singers out there
Ya homeboy from Ohio
The fact a song as amazing as this from such a perfect band is almost completely unknown to 99% of people is extremely saddening. Reissue of Jugulator is needed along with streaming release.
The intro gives me chills
True. Chills like Black Sabbath's Eternal Idol track.
The clean guitar intro to the song is so good
Epic song. Jugulator is a great album
one of their best albums and tim fucking kills it
One of my favorite closing tracks in their catalogue.
One Shot at Glory is another.
This song is fucking badass
I think had Rob been singing this, it would've been considered a classic
Roger that
It IS an absolute classic, Rob or not. A top 10 Priest track of all time for me.
This song is a perfect epic album closer that deserves a way more credit than it ever recieved.
The Ripper era Priest was also a very talented lineup and both the Jugulator and Drmolition albums are timeless masterpieces.
It is time that they both get released on Spotify as soon as possible because they both totaly rock.🤘🤘
Vincent showed this song, and the memories of my mom playing this when I was yougner feel so nice.
( I was maybe 7 or so, 19 now)
Tim Ripper Owens, will rip shit apart with his banshee screams of vengeance!
The intro sounds like a combination of "Rooster" by Alice in Chains and "This Love" by Pantera. Two great hard rocking songs from the early 90's.
Andrew Toone Absolutely
Sounds like "Welcome Home" by Metallica
I don't hear any Metallica.
Yep. Thinking that, too.
@Bryan Darby I love this song but there is nothing that compares to the Floods outro man. It is pure gold
easily one the best judas priest songs
This is the best song of the Ripper era and a personal, overall metal favorite of Mine in general. Dude did good. It's a great song.
same here
Wish Judas would release this album on streaming platforms
I preffer Judas with Halford, but this one is masterpiece.
Yeah, Tim is not a bad singer too, I mean, onto this album, I thought it’s Halford!
No matter how many times i hear this intro, it always guves me goosebumps
Ripper is a badass
Love whole damn album is very underrated.True work of art!
This song is SOOOO good! So underrated!
The first priest song I listen to of the year for 5 years in a row! Badass!
1:20 gives me thrills every time.this guy is a monster!
Been a Priest fan since '82 ....56 now and still jam out to the heavy British Steel...love this CD
Ian Hill does some some really tasty and slick bass runs in this tune!
The greatest song intro ever.
I hope KK’s Priest includes this one in their live set, that would be amazing, the finale in special is so dramatic that it would be the jewel of that set list.
Tim is now in the band "KK's Priest" which also includes former JP
drummer Les Binks (drummed on the albums Stained Class and Hell Bent For
Leather) and of course founding JP member KK Downing. This seems like a
great lineup that will cover the gamut that of songs that JP is not
performing live and perhaps have not performed in many years.
I saw Ripper live on one of his solo tours. He played pretty much all of the Jugulator album, including this song. It was the only time I ever saw this song performed live.
KK is a legend and Ripper probably has more of his voice left than Rob these days. Would love to see them live.
KK Downing is not a founding member of Judas Priest. John Perry, Al Atkins, Brian Staplehill and John Partridge formed Judas Priest in 1969.
@@petermcallister8489 sorry nerd 😜 but most people don't know that and there are no easy to find recordings of that line-up
@@dlwseattle aww bless.
Rippers range is awesome! Puts me in mind of King Diamond
This album is fucking badass, one of my favorite priest record! \m/
Perfect song. I actually very much like Ripper Owens' vocals. Of course Halford is the greatest, but still, this guy is freakin' awesome, too.
Always loved this album.
Ripper is the man
Ah this takes me back...
The best priest song from the ripper era
The most underrated song ever.
Best song they did with Tim Owens by far.
I've been a Priest fan for over 40 years and Jugulator and Demolition is one of the best albums they have ever put out. The fact that these two albums aren't included or accepted as part of the Priest catalog can only be explained with one word, Rob. He is just mad that Priest could do it without him and did a beautiful job I might add. Now I was not willing to accept Ripper in the beginning and I was done with Priest, but my best friend convinced me to check out Jugulator and I'm glad I did. I'm glad Robs back with Priest. I'm sad that K k is no long with them. It puts an end to the dynamic duo but I love KK's Priest and I'm definitely a fan of Rippers.
Nah, I think it's Tipton. He probably steered the ship during this era, but now has buyer's remorse. Halford's 90s stuff with Fight has a similar sound to Jugulator so he's not the one pretending these albums don't exist.
Now with KK Priest we'll hear this song in events more, 🤟🎸⚡.
They have blown away the daylight hours we had
Left a legacy, a deadly aftermath
We cannot exist in godforsaken lands
As we spiral down into oblivion
Breathing the fumes of fires that they ignite
Losing ground and we are all just losing sight
We shall never see another setting sun
Time to rise up and ascend, the end has come
No more willpower
Choked by hell fire
Darkness above
Blackening out the sun
Gripped by steel claws
Corrosion eating us
So before we're all devoured
Time to rise up and retire
In cathedral spires
Watching as the world expires
From up amongst the clouds
In cathedral spires
No names
No graves
No prayers
Can save us
Ashes to dust
Doomsday's upon us now
It cannot be stopped
Genocide all is lost
Oh! We're so tired
Time to rise up and conspire
In cathedral spires
Watching as our world expires
From up above the clouds
In cathedral spires
Jaws of corruption
Swallow us as one
Consuming every nation
Evoke resistance getting none
Complete disintegration
No good to defend
There can be but one outcome
We are no more - ascend
Vaporized fury
Offers no sanctuary
Oh! We're so tired
Time to rise up and retire
In cathedral spires
Watching as the world expires
From up amongst the clouds
In cathedral
In cathedral spires
Oh! We're so tired
Watching the world expire
Time that we retire
Up in cathedral spires
Oh! We're so tired
Watching the world expire
Time that we retire
Up in cathedral spires
Oh! We're so tired
Watching the world expire
Time that we retire
Up in cathedral spires
Oh! We're so tired
Watching the world expire
Time that we retire
Up in cathedral spires
Songwriters: Glenn Raymond Tipton / Kenneth Downing
I love Rob but this song is my favorite, Tim Ripper kills it
I've been missing out on this amazing track for a long time. One of the best on the album easily.
This record is my first heavy metal album. That leads me listening heavy metal. This song is fucking awesome
Owens
all the way!!!!!, this album is one of my favourites!!
Ripper has such an amazing voice. Omg that intro!
This is one of my favorite Priest songs. I would love if Halford recorded a new version. As long as it's still in the same key, I think Rob could handle these high notes at least in the studio
Why should Halford record it? It is perfect as is.
I love Rob's voice, but this song belongs to Ripper.
I won't lie! I would love to hear that version!
Lsdmachine666 yes the vocals would be tighter.....but the rectum would extremely looser😅
Jokes ...Halford is one of the best vocalists in metal history👍🔥
To be honest ( I am a little biased as I actually prefer Rippers vocals to robs [Halford is better tho]) Ripper 'owns' this song and I don't actually think Halford could pull it off.
Ripper is one of the greatest singers ever!
Love Halford and can’t imagine Priest without him but Tim is such a great singer on his own
Among my favorite priest songs
By far the greatest priest song ever!
Una de mis canciones preferidas de heavy metal de todos los tiempos.
Why is this not on Spotify?!
I’ve been a Priest fan since I was about 14 and this is a top 3 Judas Priest song ever in my book
Rest in peace, Notre-Dame :(
Lol
@Wir sind ́s! I get it's an old ass cathedral but come on, you really gotta say RIP to the building? You can have those feelings and all and say what you want I just thought it was funny
@@Flubolaplays I really feel people have no respect for history nowaday......
@Aconite "insensitive..." lol. I think the numerous innocent people that were tortured & murdered in the wretched dungeons of the house of myth would've loved to see it burn.
Burn their rotten temples, they enslaved human souls too long!!!
Ripper did a great job with Priest. I Was glad when Rob came back but Rip never got the recognition or respect he deserves. If it wasn't for him we would lost Priest until Rob decided to come back
One of my favorite ripper songs.
One of my favorites
Does anyone remember around 2004 reading that Rob Halford was going to include tracks from Jugulator / Demolition in comeback tour? shame this didn't seem to happen...
I don't remember reading quite that. But, I do remember him saying he was willing to sing any Judas Priest song. :) It'll never happen, but it would be cool to see Halford and Ripper sing this together at a Priest show.
JP buried this album after Owens' departure...
I Do remember and I always wish for it, especially Burn In Hell
Thanks 10 Second Songs for showing me this!
This album Rules!! It's in my top 3 favorite by Judas Priest
Que monstruo de canción a los años que la escucho, bien por Ripper
The intro is 1 of the greatest pieces of Music ever!
My favourite Judas Priest song. Also favourite album. I adore Halford, but Owens did an amazing job.
I am so glad you guy's are all so passionate about Metal. We all have favourites but that can change. One thing for is that Halford is the master. His voice control especially when he runs into insane notes. This defines the difference for me. He also has an incredible ear for music. However Rob was very complimentary of Owen's. So for him Metal came first. Now for all of us. " Thank heavens for these guy's with these mind blowing pipes" that give us spine tingling chills. Love your comments guy's and passion.
One of the best JP songs
The best song of the Ripper Owens Priest era.
Wow wow wow. I love this song and his incredible voice. I’m shocked that it’s not that popular.
One of the best intros I've ever listened. 1:20... chicken skin !
Fantástico. Álbum injustiçado.
Spotify pls
pls
Gotta love this epic song. Screw those who think the vocals suck cause he isn't Rob. Thats dumb.
I never gave the Jugulator stuff much of a chance before, but listening to this now I have to admit this is a kick-ass song, with everything in it that I've come to love about a Judas Priest song. Not sure how the rest of the album rounds out, but this track is awesome!
Great song!
The best singer of Judas Priest
This is the most beautiful dystopia I ever heard; Rob is unreplacable, but Tim is badass!!!!
I could listen to the part starting at 7:18 all day.
So great
They didn’t replace a god, they just created a new one.
Fantastic song
Love this song! Wish it wasn’t so hard to find
One greats songs, some fantasy elements!
Let's take it 2 steps FURTHER: JUGULATOR IS DEFINITELY 1 OF THE MOST UNDERRATED METAL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME! IT ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS DEMOLITION!!!
Love Haulin ass in the middle of the night with the highway all to myself cranking this
YES!
I did this. It was dusk and a huge storm was chasing me into town. It was fucking perfect!
One of Judas Priest's classic songs, sad it get's overlooked because it's from the Ripper era.
To all priest die-hards, this album kick ass. End.
I would listen to a full song composed like the intro. It would be magic
Those albums with Ripper were great. It's just another music. And Ripper is an excellent singer.
By the way I also like ''classic' Priest. For example, Sad Wings Of Destiny is one of my favourites
Maybe they're great, but they're not Priest. They sound like most other metal that was popular at that time (and which I didn't like at all so for me these two albums are plain boring, except parts of this song).
