Played this at my brother's funeral. We had been Python fans since it was young and anarchic.
The song came on and it immediately changed the mood from sombre to stupidly brilliant. Laughing and crying is good for the soul I believe. Thanks Eric. Priceless.

Fifteen years ago Eric Idle performed a musical he had writtenâNot the Messiah, with full orchestra, choir and four soloists in Toronto. There were two performances only, and the opening night was filled with politicians and t.v. Personalities. Of course it finished on this song and we were all on our feet clapping and singing along. That song is pure magic.
