The movie plays with expectations so well that I was impressed and frustrated with the ending

Watched 12 angry men (1957) recently and this movie today. Both movies give such an interesting perspective on the "truth".

The more I talk/hear about this movie, the more I love it.

The role of language is also very interesting. Samuel and Sandra are not speaking in their mother tongue with each other, they speak English with each other. In the argument it became clear that lots of their emotions get lost in translation. Also in the courtroom screens language is essential because Sandra's french is rudimental so she switched languages midpoint to English.

Tricia - great observation about the last interaction with the babysitter. I also agree with Alex ... that the roles appeared to be reversed, when the son comforted the mother at the end of the movie. Excellent analysis to all of you. Thanks,
