I had the chance to experience for some months both the lifestyle in Tokyo/Saitama and in Sapporo and at first I enjoyed so much my stay in Tokyo area that I was really scared to go back to Sapporo (where I had been only about 3 weeks before coming to Tokyo for a longer amount of time) since I was not accustomed to the life there, contrary to Tokyo's life. In the end I truly enjoyed my life in Sapporo, where I got to stay for several months. I also stayed about 1 month in Otaru, which is accessible quite easily from Sapporo, and it was also nice!
But yeah, now it has been more than one year and a half since I went back to my home country and when thinking back of my lifestyle in Japan, I can say that Sapporo is probably the city I enjoyed the most. People are very friendly and the food is great (especially cheesecake and sushi haha). The environment is good and the houses/appartments are generally larger than in Tokyo.
But too bad winter sometimes seems everlasting there, haha...

We were in Hokkaido in August but soon we experience a winter trip in February. The food and people were amazing.

A television tower needs only to see the appearance.
When you enter the inside, you'd be disappointed.
" It's climbed and the scenery is just seen, and there is nothing".
Ramen Republic. You should eat [shirakabasansou] or [yoshiyamasyoten]
Genghis Khan ”Daruma” is management of the North Korean system.
Meat not made in Hokkaido, but made in Australia.
There are few stores where mutton made in Hokkaido can be eaten.
It's better to think it's meat made in New Zealand whether it's made in Australia 99 %.
Recommendation does draft beer more than meat.
You should go to Sono of Sapporo Breweries.Genghis Khan can eat, too.

My Mum grew up in Sapporo along with all her other ancestors and since dad is from australia mum moved over here and since I was 3 months old I have gone to Sapporo every year I love it there and so do my family

Hi, I really enjoyed watching your videos especially listening to your clear melodious voice and the markings on the map is a ++. There's one thing I missed to see. I heard Hokkaido is famous for it's dairy milk and by products. Does the ice cream factory open its door to the public? Secondly, aside from Ramen, Hokkaido is also famous for its sushi, sashimi and King Crab. This is one of the reasons why I am planning to visit Sapporo in November.

Oh my god. Hokkaido. This is one of the most beautiful places in Japan. Because of its cultural (In which it is the ancestral homeland of the indigenous Ainu) and geological uniqueness and beauty, Hokkaido is to Japan just like Alaska is to the United States. And within it lies the beautiful city of Sapporo. I hope to visit this dramatically beautiful part of Japan and see its majesty with my own eyes, and meet its friendly locals! Love from the United States! 🇯🇵🇺🇸

hello! this might be a strange question but i'm curious: are there a lot of bugs (huntsman spiders/mukades/hornets) in sapporo like there are in tokyo?
Sapporo has fewer bugs than Tokyo.
I personally don't think there are many bugs in Tokyo, then again it is quite subjective.
Also crabs buffet in susukino. You forgot the sweets and snow sculptures in Odori park

Thanks for this helpful video. Most recommendations are excellent but Shiroi Koibito! Really! It’s a waste of time. Just a place trying to sell you some sweets and candies. The historical village is also a huge disappointment despite all the publicities.
