Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim - All Bosses [Nightmare, Catastrophe]

Now that's more like it. Another Ys done on highest difficulty setting. Some of the bosses are pretty hard especially on Ernst and Majunun.
For the Majunun, I have to grind for quite awhile. You can't heal on catastrophe mode but you can purchase the seed for quite alot at Port Rimorge. My method is to farm some money and try to buy as many seed of power as possible. Use every strength item that you got and don't forget to bring the "Daylight Stone" accessories so that you can instant revive one time. It requires some luck also to deal with this BS so good luck.
Also for some weird reason, if you played the game with vsync off, your completion time on the leaderboard is bugged af lmao. I've figured it out once I've played some boss rush on normal difficulty with vsync on and vsync off. Here's some image for reference imgur.com/a/JE0ajni .
Well, for the next Ys, I'll be playing it on 60hz with Vsync on. I don't want my time on the leaderboard to be bugged again.

Not sure why, but i've never looked into Ys gameplay. This is the first i've seen anything from the series. And honestly if they all look like this, i'm going to really enjoy the curated ones at least.

Ys 1 & 2 on steam it's pretty different, but Ys VI, Oath and Origin are pretty much the same. It's really a fun game with great soundtrack. Well now, I'm currently working on the curated ones, should be a fun week.

I remember reading guides that said you needed to be at level 55-60 to stand a chance against the optional boss (at the very end of the video). I have a game where I'm at the last dungeon at level 53, and even the highest exp-yielding enemies are giving me next to nothing for exp. Where do you grind to get your level that high??

All I can think of was all of the fun I had getting my ass handed to me against the bosses in this game lol. It was frustrating but in a good way, unlike felghana where I felt like the bosses were designed to trip you up constantly with sneaky patterns.

@@videogamesworld01 did you play on nightmare? From what I understand, nightmare and above have specifically more brutal attack patterns it's ludicrous at times. I've played every translated Ys on that difficulty felghana was easily the hardest.

Konami published the title for the PS2 and made a number of changes, including replacing all the sprites with 3d models. This video features gameplay from the (later, actually) PC localization done by XSeed, although it's based off the very original release which of course did not have 3d character models.
