    Thanks! That was really helpful. Amazon just delivered my ukulele and electronic tuner, and the instructions were a bit difficult to follow. Working alongside your demonstration helped me tune my uke in minutes. I'm looking forward to more of your videos!

    I don't know what's going on. My electric tuner says my A chord is tuned, but my A chord sounds noting like it does in the several videos I've watched.

    • @UkeManFischer
      @UkeManFischer  Před 9 lety +2

      Many tuners have the ability to change what frequency is considered A. Standard A is 440 Hz. See if your tuner as changed to something close but not standard. Also, I've seen some tuners where you can flatten/change the notes. Be sure you don't have any flat symbols on the screen ( it looks like a lower case b). Finally, be sure you are on chromatic- and not an instrument setting.
      Good luck!

    There are also geared types of friction tuners, called Planetary Pegs, which have an array of different cogs and gears within a tiny space. These are more common on banjo-ukuleles, though, so might not be as common to viewers here.

    my tuner says it is tuned right becaue it is green but the letters are different, they are not GCEA. does that mean it's still tuned correctly? ?

    • @mavnycto
      @mavnycto Před 6 lety +2

      If you still need this information, your ukulele is not tuned. You have to keep turning till you get the right chromatic letter.

    Just got my first ukulele, im an idiot. Mine is tuned in A,D,A,C. How do i change it?

    • @WackoSister
      @WackoSister Před 7 lety +1

      just keep turning the peg with the tuner on and you will eventually get to the not,...the nots go A,B,C,D,E,F,G and then it goes right back to A so just tune it to G C E A (going top from bottom)
