Every time I hear that music, it gives me that nostalgic feeling and makes me feel better :)

This song is a real gem, I don't know what he's saying but I can feel the song.
I'll try to explain.
The original song had a music video, and it were about engineers. Нажми на кнопку - получишь результат is translated as "press the button and you will get the result". It was about engineers testing what they made. But Chernikovskaya Hata added in the beginning words about nuclear bomb test. So, "press the button" now means drop the nuke. It seriously changed the mood of the song.

Эта песня ударила в самую глубину моей души. Жаль, что даже если бы и была эта кнопка, то никаких мечт не было и не будет. Мне 21 год, совершил однажды по своей глупости отвратительный поступок и травмировал непоправимо психику человека, с того дня для меня поделилось всё на "до" и "после". Этот трек отсылает меня к тем самым воспоминаниям, когда всё было хорошо. Надеюсь, что жизнь пройдёт быстро и закончится в тишине...

Был на концерте Технологии осенью 1990 года, в Питере. Спорткомплекс был забит до отказа и почти все были одеты в британском таком стиле а-ля депеш мод. Очень атмосферно было...Нажми на кнопку, Странные танцы - пели всем залом.
Мне этот ковер больше оригинала нравиться, своя динамика, гооос такой - завараживающий, спокойный что ли...темп подходящий, а начальная вставка голоса диктора...это нечто❤

I often listen to this song so many times. It was my favorite song all the time. I've been wondering what's the message of this song about?🤔
The lyrics are something about the sadness of how we can never reach what we desire because we don't even try, instead feeding our desires with short term effortless things that don't ultimately enrich our lives like fulfilment or companionship would, the chorus translates to "push the button you will receive a result" if I remember correctly, I last saw the translated version a while ago so I don't remember exactly but that was my takeaway from it.
