    I will create a instance(VM) with some of centos flavor.
    I wanted to use that as a server and wanted to create some vnf's in it for my network testing purpose is it possible ?
    One more question is by using Heat i can communicate the different instances isnt it ? if yes pls let me know how to do it.
    How many supervisors can openstack support ?

      Hey Pavan, sorry for the delay. Once you register, locate and click the Settings link and provide any additional information you may have about your app. Most of the fields are self-explanatory, but here's additional information about a few of the fields. Hope this helps. Cheers!

    HI. Is it correct to assume I may use Cinder for offsite storage at a DR site ?

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN Před 7 lety

      Hey Ben, thanks for checking out our tutorial!
      Yes, your assumption is totally correct. Volume replication is a key storage feature and a requirement for features such as high-availability and disaster recovery of applications running on top of OpenStack clouds.
      Hope this helps. Cheers!

    what is purpose of floating IP?

    • @edurekaIN
      @edurekaIN Před 5 lety

      Hey Shivleela, Floating IPs are not allocated to instances by default. Cloud users need to explicitly grab them from the pool configured by the OpenStack administrator and then attach them to their instances. Once the user has grabbed a floating IP from the pool, he becomes the owner of it. If an instance dies for some reason, the user does not lose the floating IP, it remains his own resource, ready to be attached to another instance.
      Hope this helps!
