- Johnny Wactor, who portrayed Brando Corbin on "General Hospital," was fatally shot in Los Angeles by three men who were trying to steal his catalytic converter. His mother tells ABC7 he approached the men because he just thought they were towing his car. abc7.com/post/...

This type of crime is not an anomaly, it happened to be a high profile person that got killed. These thieves and murders will not even go to jail. Los Angeles, and California are not safe. I left after 50+ years, the state has declined beyond recognition.
They might go to jail in this instance only because they were unlucky enough to choose a high-profile person. Though when they do it to a common working-class person, the whole thing gets swept under the rug as if the violent criminal is the greater asset to this system.

Why kill a person for a $100-$400 dollar scrap catalytic converter. I work with cars everyday and recycling catalytic converter are not worth much. If people are trying to steal your catalytic converter at gun point just give them that money what it is worth to reclye it. Not worth trying to fight them off or stop them.
