Ratchet & Clank is a 2016 platform video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. It is the fifteenth installment in the Ratchet & Clank series. The game is a re-imagining of the first game in the series, as well as being based on the 2016 film of the same name.[6] The game was originally planned to be released in 2015, but was delayed, along with the film, to April 2016 in order to give the film a better marketing campaign and the game additional polish time.[2]
Ratchet & Clank received positive reviews upon release, with critics particularly praising the overall gameplay, controls, visuals, weapons, and world design. The game was followed by Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which was released for the PlayStation 5 in June 2021.
Ratchet & Clank shares many gameplay similarities with the other entries in the series.[7] The main playable character is Ratchet; Clank is playable in several portions of the game.[8] As Ratchet, the player navigates diverse environments, defeating enemies with an array of different weapons and gadgets, and traversing obstacles. Clank is attached to Ratchet like a backpack, performing several functions, such as allowing diving in water, gliding through the use of propellers, and on occasion, acting as a jetpack to allow flight. Clank's gameplay sections are drastically different, even though the premise of navigating environments and the controls remain the same. Clank is not equipped with weapons; instead, he utilizes punches to defeat enemies. Clank's gameplay sections mostly revolve around solving environmental puzzles, rather than defeating enemies.[9]
Though Ratchet & Clank is a re-imagining of the 2002 video game, it has a variety of gameplay elements from different entries in the series, such as strafing, automatic weapon and health upgrades, manual Raritanium weapon upgrading, and the inclusion of weapons seen in later games.[8][10] It features new weapons, such as the Pixelizer, which gives enemies an 8-bit appearance.[8][10] Environments are presented in a somewhat linear manner, although multiple paths are available for the player.[11] The player progresses through the story by travelling from planet to planet.[8] New planets are unlocked once story objectives on previous planets have been completed.[7] Aside from battling enemies, the player utilizes a Swingshot to cross gaps, rides grind rails to travel through levels, walks on magnetic surfaces, activates switches to open new paths, and occasionally must solve a hacking mini-game.[12] - Hry

Ah I love Ratchet and Clank! Some people may not like this game, but it's still got the R&C charm

the main thing that killed this game for me was Qwarks narration and the clank running parts. If they added the option to cut them out, then it would have been a better game.
U ignite the kid in me with this playthrough. I remember playing another version of Ratchet and Clank on ps3.
I have beat the final boss level with Dr. Nefarious and when I open Maps to confirm Ive completed all the objectives for the Deplanitizer it states I havent cleared the final boss round. But I have access to Challenge Mode(NG+), content in Insomniac Museum, I've seen the final cutsecene and the end credits. The difficculty level is hard and in cheats the game speed is normal. Is anything I need to change in settings in order for the boss round to be considered complete?
Since Rift Apart is on PC now, this game would look great on PC as well if it came to PC!

If youtube detects anything from the film, they block the video worldwide. It's really annoying

@@SourceSpy91 that's weird, because I have seen other longplays of this game that include the movie clips on the fly.
So have I, i'm not sure how they managed to do it. Maybe some of the bigger channels have deals with CZcams and the movie studios so they able to include the film scenes because i tried everything (muting the film scenes, changing the colours, adding blur to them, making the colours negative) but it got blocked everytime.
It's strange because when i uploaded this game a few years ago, all of the shorter videos were fine, they didn't get blocked at all, but i guess when all the scenes are in a single video, that's when youtube doesn't like it
@@SourceSpy91 my opinion CZcams can go f**k itself, a gameplay isn’t gameplay if you don’t include cutscenes but all in all I’ve enjoyed watching this one and every other gameplays by gamers such as yourself.
Still bummed that they didn’t add all of the original worlds, would’ve made the game a bit lengthier. Also making drek into a joke character🤨
