About Mauricio Nader:
The passion of Mauricio for music is as strong as his passion for motivating people on his journey through life. He describes himself as "an artist, musician, innovator, leader and a creative person, I am constantly involved in projects that inspire people to accomplish their dreams". That is the reason that his work on electric bass is a constant testimony in the search for new possibilities with the instrument.
Due to this, in his role as a soloist and as a member of diverse bands, he has recorded several albums, live DVDs, done multiple tours in his home country, Chile, and abroad, performed concerts, festivals, clinics and talks; he has played alongside a symphonic orchestra, as well as being a finalist and winner of the Pulsar Chilean Music Awards (kind of Chilean Grammys) and being sponsored by prestigious brands of musical instruments and equipment. To all this is also added a talk he made a few years ago for the prestigious foundation TED. - Hudba
The bass doesn't have to bare its fangs to be impressive. It can stun the audience with elegance. Beautiful.
Not even 10 seconds in I could tell this was an outstanding performance. Probably the best I've heard of this piece on the bass guitar.
So very soothing and sympathetic to anyone after a long and weary day.
one of the best..
Senza eguali! La tecnina di Nader è impressionante: sembra che suoni un'arpa. Da osservare come muove la mano destra. E il suono è il più pulito e preciso che abbia mai sentito. Great!
Nicely phrased. Wondeful.
Really love this piece! The first bass cover, that has his own groove! All others just play those 16ths notes up and down, but you make pauses at the right time! Respect! Very intensful playing!
a cello to a viola , is like a bass to a guitar. If you can play Bach on guitar , it seems very right to play it on bass.
Ooooh so good
I think it was the best version I've heard and play on the bass.
i've been looking for awhile now for someone that played it as well as you did here
wow
I loved it
very well done sir
Nice one! Very clear!
Tremendo!!!
good job! hard song to play
love hearing this epic piece
Beautifully done. Perfect tempo, perfect feeling. Namaste'.
a bass sounds so much more soulful and deep than a guitar, i'll give it that a cello may sound better, but that bass sounds great in its own way.
Madre, qué dedazooooooooooos
I think this is very nicely played and well-recorded version of this. I have tried this on a 4 string down an octave, but I think it sounds kind of muddy, and the lowest notes have to be played up an octave. So I learned it in C major and posted a video. This way all the notes can be reached in standard tuning, it sounds like a bass and not a guitar, and it's not muddy like the octave down version.
Holy shit, an electric bass player that plays a 6 string well, AND plays dynamics. Lots of people play classical music without the dynamics and ritardandos and such...that sort of thing MAKES the music. 5*
superb! & nice tone on the bass as well. Great playing
Great technique! Hands are perpendicular to fingerboard, straight wrist on plucking hand, classical guitar technique. I'm learning to us this technique more, by my bass is too big.
How sounds sweet it!
Great playing and video !
good job
nice jog mauricio!!!!!!!!!!
if you play it on a four string you have to play it an octace down, but it can be done. It's written in bass clef so just get hold of the score
You're amazing...this about put me to sleep :)
because of the cello's tuning, and smaller fingerboard, it is easier to play some parts without stretching as much as in bass
You can play it an octave down, and you can find correct sheet music on 8notes . com
great job, ive been playing for 25 years rock, and am trying to learn this, but iam having trouble remembering all these notes and different parts,, just wondering how long did it take for you to memorize this whole piece ?
At the end some notes are a little bit longer than it should, but overall a very nice performance ...
trust me, i prefer to hear it on electric instruments then in some crappy electronic music remix generated on the computer. =) i agree with you becouse i too understand the discipline and tradition that needs to be kept for this music, otherwise it will jest get basterdised.
tabs please!!!
emm ¿alguien tenrdra las partituras?
tabs please
tabs pleassssssssssssss!!!!!
Yo no,.pero.hay que buscar las tablaturas
i doubt that you, my friend, had the pleasure of studying the violin and the guitar.
I've listened to all the electric bass versions out there. This nicely done. More musical than most out there in its pace and phrasing. Blistering speed (you've seen that one) is fun and impressive but does nothing for the music. Patitucci has nothing on this, IMO his rendition is a bit mechanical and rushed. I don't mind the reverb. This is an electric bass, use the technology, it takes nothing from the performance.
REMEMBER JHON PATITUCCI!!!
Some very weird rubato work in this one
nice but way too much reverb
