I really enjoyed the series and hope that those who have been released are doing OK on the outside. Life inside was simple and bleak but never cruel, with a focus on rehabilitation rather than the punishment and neglect that seems to happen in other countries.

I was glad CNA did this series. An eye-opening for me, to remember to keep things in perspective and never to judge too soon. We are ALL humans and we do make mistakes (Do not deny that facts). Great effort to portray real lives of inmates/former inmates. Its very realistic from my perspective as a nurse who had worked with inmates. I feel this show helps the gen public understand the psychosocial dynamics that inmates experience to land them in prison. Wishing each and every participant of this show success and fulfilment in their new life ahead.

This series is really an eye opening for me. I never knew what a Singapore prison is like. The way they serve food and how inmates have to lie on belly to reach for the low door really strikes me hard. I’m also very shocked to see they don’t even have a bed or anything to sleep on... only bare concrete floor. Stay lawful because prison is humiliating, even in a society like Singapore!

@@sgyoutuberfanpolice6086 Sorry but I beg to differ on that opinion.
For instance do you know some European countries (not Norway) offer AI courses to inmates, which of course means they have access to computers.
Have you read of the Singaporean in prison in New Zealand or Australia who has his request for a laptop denied because he already has a PC and a printer in his cell? He was shown to have printed more than 200 pages within a single night.
Do you know of the US prison that allows inmates to keep dogs for pets which are allowed to share the cell with them? Video also available on CZcams.
Taiwan prisons have visit days where the families can prepare food for the inmates.
Some inmates in Malaysia have access to mobile phones at their own costs, they can chip in to buy a TV for their common areas, there are prisons where the inmates are not locked in cells during the day time, meaning they get to have access to the common areas and walk to other cells in their own dayroom. Again the families or the inmates themselves can order their own food at their own cost. I bought food from outside to visit inmates before.
These are just several examples that I have come across and I don't even know much about prisons.
Actually not having beds and any sort of furnitures in the cell would easily place us below average and I am especially surprised that the inmate was required to thumbprint (registering an offence) for having an extra paper hook.

Clearly somebody is lying or dont know what they are doing. 2.) Food portion is pathetically small, no budget? 3.) Inmates are human, y food serve through dog hole? With this kind of 3rd World standard, no wonder inmates are unhappy and not cooperative. They (not the inmates) have themselves to blame.
