I really enjoyed the series and hope that those who have been released are doing OK on the outside. Life inside was simple and bleak but never cruel, with a focus on rehabilitation rather than the punishment and neglect that seems to happen in other countries.
Yes. I vote for a full, continuing series for these guys. PLEASE. I live in Los Angeles and I thoroughly enjoy this!
Hi, yes i am fine. Thanks
@@chialiulian2881 QA
Special thanks to the inmates who went on camera. It was a contribution in their own ways to educate everyone more about prison life.I see humility and the desire to change for the better. With will power , am sure u guys can do it!
Really enjoy the four parts, as it was an eye opener to lifes of inmates and see through their redemption arc
Truly enjoyed the 4 episodes. Hopefully you'll do more and give us updates on them in the future.. 😄
Enjoyed all episodes
Hope they all change their life to a better one
This 4 part series is really quality work, good job CNA.
Thank you for these prison documentaries
I hope there is an update on them. Love all episodes!
Thanks for the video! I was an ex-offender and showing vids will make repeated offenders turn into a new leaf!!

Week done CNA! Keep up the good work!
Kudos to CNA Insider team! Indeed provide us a good insights of what's goes on behind those tall walls!
My hopes & prayers to the inmates that they may find good in life once out of it.
I was glad CNA did this series. An eye-opening for me, to remember to keep things in perspective and never to judge too soon. We are ALL humans and we do make mistakes (Do not deny that facts). Society need to give them a chance to change for a better life ahead. Everyone has to Start somewhere and it's called The Turning point!!!.
Great effort to portray real lives of inmates/former inmates. Its very realistic from my perspective as a nurse who had worked with inmates. I feel this show helps the gen public understand the psychosocial dynamics that inmates experience to land them in prison. Wishing each and every participant of this show success and fulfilment in their new life ahead.
Reallyy enjoyed this series please make more 💀🤚
This series is really an eye opening for me. I never knew what a Singapore prison is like. The way they serve food and how inmates have to lie on belly to reach for the low door really strikes me hard. I’m also very shocked to see they don’t even have a bed or anything to sleep on... only bare concrete floor. Stay lawful because prison is humiliating, even in a society like Singapore!
At least they have a clean cell to sleep in. Other neighbouring countries will be worst
If I am not mistaken, they do have a straw mat and blanket, but they cannot roll it out to use during the day.
thunderfirebolt yes, they do. But how much more comfortable would that be. It’s like sleeping on a thin paper.
@@qiugezhang6847 I mean they did some wrong things to be sent inside, they should not be expecting any privileges, to be fair I find that Singapore prison is treating the inmates with respect and humanely
Hopefully we can see a follow-up documentary on their lives after release.
The choice of music really does not go with unfortunate nature of their circumstances and the things that they have to say.
Keep it up CNA
This is wat prison life is all about.
Be thankful your food , lodging n everything is taken care. You can even study n got chance to sit for Exams
Up to you to change n be useful after release
Whenever I get out of jail the first think I do is leave a Yelp review. It's important for them to hear from their customers so that they can improve their service. Yo beans stank Cook County Jail!

I wonder what the re-offence rate is, compare to say American or British prisons?
This video has been aired before!
Singapore slings are the best drinks ever, but they only make them properly in fancy restaurants. That is all.
I know the series went viral. Not speaking for inmates or anything, but I do think there should be one more plastic hook lah.

3rd World Prison
@@deschan2246 Go look at neighbouring countries you will get what is third world
Why do we compare everything in Singapore with first world countries, but only compare our prison with 3rd world countries?
Singapore achieve many world no.1 badges including the most expensive city in the world.
@@josephcheng4127 Because many of the "first world countries" prisons are worst than Singapore. Only Norway and Japan is better perhaps.
@@sgyoutuberfanpolice6086 Sorry but I beg to differ on that opinion.
For instance do you know some European countries (not Norway) offer AI courses to inmates, which of course means they have access to computers.
Have you read of the Singaporean in prison in New Zealand or Australia who has his request for a laptop denied because he already has a PC and a printer in his cell? He was shown to have printed more than 200 pages within a single night.
Do you know of the US prison that allows inmates to keep dogs for pets which are allowed to share the cell with them? Video also available on CZcams.
Taiwan prisons have visit days where the families can prepare food for the inmates.
Some inmates in Malaysia have access to mobile phones at their own costs, they can chip in to buy a TV for their common areas, there are prisons where the inmates are not locked in cells during the day time, meaning they get to have access to the common areas and walk to other cells in their own dayroom. Again the families or the inmates themselves can order their own food at their own cost. I bought food from outside to visit inmates before.
These are just several examples that I have come across and I don't even know much about prisons.
Actually not having beds and any sort of furnitures in the cell would easily place us below average and I am especially surprised that the inmate was required to thumbprint (registering an offence) for having an extra paper hook.
Insanely harsh for short sentences
If inmates give a bad review .. their sentence gets extended??😂
Don’t let your emotion take charge of you.
the sauce is all over the plate sia,I heard usually the inmate at night drink toilet water to stay full.
These inmates featured have been there for a few years. If food had been insufficient all these while, you would be looking at very thin inmates. On the contrary none are thin or emancipated.
In Singapore tap water is drinkable. So yes, they just need to take water from the shower as you can see Iskandar did
14th November 2021
Inmates are human, treat them as one to minimise trouble.
It would be better if you had inmates from more diversified backgrounds, not only drugs convicts and released either this year or next year. How about those on life sentence, 20 years or even on death row? Those who committed felonies. I'm sure the educational effect will be more intense on the viewers.
Nonetheless I do appreciate the show just that one guy stands for all guy in the show a bit dull.
isn't iskandar getting released in 2028?
Well, it's not just about you or us isn't it? Those on death row or those who committed violent crimes may never want to be identified, let alone being interviewed like this.
Yes they should interview those Caucasians who got in for vandalism
@@LLcreates well they can blurred out the face, tweaked the voice like rest of their dozen shows. Certainly won't be as dull as apart from Iskandar's story ain't it

One cell reserved for Trump. Cell # 007.
Food is a joke. 1.) At the kitchen, they said food is put in metal trolley to keep food warm. Here the inmate says the food is cold and sometimes hard. Clearly somebody is lying or dont know what they are doing. 2.) Food portion is pathetically small, no budget? 3.) Inmates are human, y food serve through dog hole? With this kind of 3rd World standard, no wonder inmates are unhappy and not cooperative. They (not the inmates) have themselves to blame.
U make 1 prison and ask the guard to feed them lah bro
