This was the best video that I could find for running these tools. The last couple of steps he goes through were key to making a useable map for my work.

this was a great tutorial, thank you so much!! i have been out of practice with Arc for a few years since I left school and only recently have gotten to use my GIS skills at my job. i was stuck with a flow accumulation raster that i couldn't get to display properly, and then i watched your video and it clicked back to my university days - i needed to take the log10!

    THANK YOU. THIS IS GREAT.
Sir how can I estimate the effect of upstream cells to downstream cells when rainfall drops?

That Implementation with the Raster Calculator is cool. Unfortunately, my RC has problems with Python and is not usable atm.

Hi, I hope you can help me. Please could you explain what the accumulation log and the subsequent condition you add shows? What do the high and low values represent and what does it demonstrate? I have followed your instructions on my own map and it looks great but I am not sure what it is telling me in terms of the drainage? I am looking at possible water pollution sources within a river catchment. Many thanks! :)

Hello, don`t you know what to do if in flowacc raster there are a lot of zero values, so taking log10 from them and making precise river network is impossible? What to do with them?

what could we say those final values on the map after the CON function represent?

Hello. I would like to ask you. I have to make a map to show how much of city land is flooded by spring floods. However, I only have point-shapefile and line-shapefile (isogypses) of the relief of city and polygon-shapefile of river boundaries. I also know what the water level is of two main rivers at the time of spring flood.
Maybe you can advise me, how should I treat these data sources step by step to calculate how much land will be covered by water?
I would apreciate your help. :)

1 meter dem and 100 sq meters is just a commonly held value. Look for papers by David Montgomery and William Dietrich.

use toolbox [[ spatial analysis tool >> extraction >> extract by mask ]]
before use this should be creat a shape file and masking on a map which u want.
