As you can tell this video was meant to go up during my vacation but I decided to take some time off so it's here now instead :P
You got your wish, the Flirty Talk palette is back.
ABH Modern Renaissance. I absolutely hated it. I wish I had waited and gotten Riviera instead because that's more my jam, but the color story on Modern Renaissance was meh on my skintone, and how it performed for me was so meh, that I never bought anything else ABH.
I love Glamlite's eye shadows, do not like their highlighters, except as an eyeshadow, though I haven't tried to depot them, remill them, and repress them. It's just super chunky glitters.
Lunar Beauty Jupiter highlighter. I went into it thinking I wasn't gonna like it for more than as a huge eyeshadow, but I'm using it as an glowy Orangish blush(and I blame you!😹🎻), and I never wear Orange anything on purpose, because of my Olive complexion, but with a cool-toned contour powder as the base, it's super beautiful as a wearable Orangish blush.
I kinda wish Bella Beaute Bar did nine or twelve pan versions, or did miniature pan versions of those bigger palettes, as I would be immediately depotting them into smaller zPalettes if I could bring myself to buy them.
To give you an idea, KimChi Chic Beauty has a "mini-me" palette, which is such a nice size for both travel and daily use. It gave me an idea about the formulas, plus with how I do my makeup, it got used in a decent timeframe. I'm probably going to replace it, and refill this one from my depotted collection.
I just bought Retro Glam by Natasha three weeks ago and it's safe to say it's my favorite palette of this whole year. My undertone is olive and I'm fair, every single shade in that palette looks STUNNING on me. Like TAYLORED for my type of appearance. so interesting how different people find their favorites while the product isn't necessarily the most hyped up on social media haha!

I bought your palette colab with Odens eye, and I didn’t think I would like as much as I do! It was my first OE purchase, and it had a pink shade, and I figured, “Meh, why not try it?”…and I ended up loving it so much, I now own four OE palettes….

I wanted the Melt: She's in Parties for well over a year. When I finally got it I was so disappointed. The formula was fine but the color story did nothing for me. I felt like I could get similar looks that I loved more from the Natasha Denona Mini Love. On the flip side the Unearthly Hauntingly Glamorous palettes was one that I picked up just because it was on sale. I thought because it only had two shimmers, there wasn't a lot I could do with it. I was so wrong. It is absolutely gorgeous and is one of my top three eyeshadow palettes.
I had the same reaction to Retro Glam! I was so excited to get it, but I found it really meh. It's also a huge pet peeve of mine when a palette doesn't have dark matte shades.
So glad to hear Unearthly is planning to bring Vitality back!! I was hoping they would. 😍!!
Pleasantly surprised: -ColourPop's Making Mauves, Blush Crush, and Orchid You Not palettes
-Wet 'n Wild's Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Skin Veil
-Moira Beauty Complete Wear Powder Foundation (this is saying something since I have very dry skin.), Lucent Cream Shadows, Starshow Glitter shadows, and Magic Dreaming Eyeshadow palette
-ABH Jackie Aina palette. The shimmers and cohesive color story are great.
-BH Cosmetics 16-pan travel series, Blueberry muffin, and Avocado Toast palettes. These are some of my favorite palettes.
Surprisingly Disappointed:
- ND Glam palette. I like shimmer shadows that have some sparkle and pop on the eyes. These shimmers just did not do that.
-ABH Soft Glam & Sultry palettes. Same reason I didn't like ND Glam palette
-Give Me Glow Vivid Rose & Vintage Rose palettes. I agree with everything Angie said in this video. The shimmers also creased on me within a few hours. I don't have oily eyelids and I use glitter glue and setting spray for shimmers.
-Sydney Grace Enduring Love palette. The mattes are incredible, but their shimmer formula, while smooth and pigmented, is not sparkly at all.
Thanks for sharing! I, too, love some sparkle in my shimmers, and Glam has been catching my eye. I thought Soft Glam had a wonderfully cohesive color story, but I could rarely find any desire to use it. Probably because I want sparkle and it does not deliver any of that.
Both the UD Wild Greens and Wild West surpassed my expectations. Love this video idea, hope to see more of these!

Your hela palette collab with Oden's Eye - I thought it would be great but it was EVEN BETTER than I thought it would be, I use it all the time!! I love the variety of looks you can do and the tones are amazing - interesting AND flattering. In terms of fails - I thought I would love the wilderness palette by beauty bay but it just wears off throughout the day, even with a primer, its also harder to blend and the tones are pretty basic / not that flattering.
I bought the ND Yucca thinking to like it ... And now it's my most used Palette. Absolutely love it. Same with the ABH Nouveau - I even did not want to buy it. Much later I got a discount and bought it - and what should I say? It ended to be one of my favorite palettes ever.
I didnt think i would love the Juvias Place Walhala2 as much as i do. It was more colors than i thought i would ever use. I was really wrong. It is one of my most favorite palettes ever. I use all of it.

For give me glow their vintage rose is hands down their best palate. Just a suggestion. As far as palettes that surpassed my expeditions; the Honda beauty rose quartz … amazing! Palate I was not wowed by was the bh cosmetics Hollywood. For hype it got, it is not a favorite pastel for me. Same with la girl desert dream. I wanted to love it but the shimmers were way to thick. The iridescent shadows were too hard to pick up.
The first Colourpop The Last Airbender palette totally took my by surprise! I grabbed it on a whim as I was placing an order for something else the day it was released. It is so much more than it looks! Also the Juvia's place gray and coral palette (can't remember the name). Its a two color palette, wasn't expecting to adore it as much as I do! I feel like that palette can do no worng not matter which way I use it always works beautifully and is my go to when I am in a hurry.

My disappointments:
1. ABH soft glam. It supposed to be a great everyday warm neutrals, and the colours turned out to be a weird mix of cold ashy browns/pinks and intense oranges that really clashed with my olive colouring (normally all the warm neutrals look great on me). The formula was also very disappointing - dusty, tones of fallout, so pigmented that it was impossible to blend it out, messy.
2. Huda Naughty. I bought it inspired - just like you - by the mini medium nude, which I love. The colours are strange, the shimmers are very cool and not longwearing, the colour story is way more interesting in the pans than on the eye.
3. Colourpop in general. I bought several palettes (and paid heavy income tax to have is shipped oversees) and none of the palettes I bought stayed in my collection. The mates and shimmers are fine, but nothing special. The glitter ones were terrible. The colour stories were way more interesting in pictures than in real life. Only the supershocks were actually delivering.
4. And one positive: Glam Shop turbo pigments. I wasn't expecting them to be anything different than the very shimmery or glittery shadows I already own, or for it to be anything different or special. Boy, was I wrong. They are spectacular and nothing like whatever I own.
I totally agree with you on Italian Spritz. I am surprised at how often I reach for this palette. And the formula is truly an improvement from the last few palettes which were ok but nothing to write home about.
Melt tho I have to say I am not surprised. They are the brand with the most inconsistent shadow quality I've ever seen. I know it's a brand people love but the quality ? Not something I can trust sadly.
I'd say the eyeshadow palette I thought I'd love but didn't that much is the legend of Korra collab from ColourPop. Nothing wrong with it but I never reach for it. I guess it doesn't inspire me that much.
I tried some Chinese beauty brands lately (mostly for the cute packaging to be completely honest) that I didn’t expect to love as much as I do. The Gogo Tales Garden Bear Palette (I have the grey blue one) especially knocked my socks off…the mattes are sooo pigmented and beautiful and the shimmers are insaaaane. My expectations were low with the ~$8 price point. Now I want to try them all!
I totally agree about the retro glam palette
The palette that I got that I thought I was going to love was the cosmic brushes serenity palette. I think it’s just because of the tones of those blues and greens just aren’t my tones. So just a preference issue. And the palette I was like meh about but ended up loving was the heather Austin x adept palette. I bought it on a whim but it’s turned out to be my most prized palette. I def need a back up so hopefully adept brings it back.
I've never tried Adept because of the price but I really wanted her palette.
@@sureiseeyou if they bring it back I highly recommend buying it. It’s extremely versatile and just drop dead gorgeous. After that palette I became an adept fan girl. Lol. I own most of their palettes and WITHOUT FAIL, every single time I wear ANY adept shadow I get compliments. Every single time so imo It’s worth it. (I don’t own the seahorse tho cuz that price went into insanity land. I’m sure it’s beautiful but they gotta rain it in a lil haha)

I actually loved colourpop's lavender lavish palette. I have the shades for me anyway are pretty pigmented you just have to build them. I did however find that the shimmers almost identical to the super chefs that came out which is a bit of a shame. I end up going for the super shocks most of the time to get more of a punch. I do find this shimmers in the pilot could be more unique and more opaque.
Glad Vitality will be returning. I’ve been waiting for it for so long
Challenged myself on a recent 2-week road trip, taking only the ABH Nouveau palette (the best for green-eyed redheads!) and the @SingeBeauty brushes. An unbeatable combo!
Nomad cosmetics has my favorite pallets, and now I'm trying to collect them all!
Pleasant surprises:
Lorac simmering and sparkling palettes. I was never a huge Lorac fan until I tried these palettes. I thought their formula was okay byt not great. These two little palettes are amazing in both mattes and shimmers.
Sigma New Mod. I bought this purely out of collector mentality and because I know Sigma's palettes are usually prettier than the promo photos. This palette js amazing. It has a nice mix of cool toned neutrals and berry tones. I actually was a but surprised by how much I love Earthy, Beachy and Electric Pink as well. Especially Electric pink. It gives a soft look but it is not difficult to work with. The neutrals in Earthy and Beachy are lovely and the dark blue metallic in Beachy reminds me of the blue in Alamar's Reina Del Caribe palette, which was phenomenal. The reason I was surpised I loved these so much is because Ritzy and Ivy just were not it for me. I did also buy the Jewel palette. I enjoy it but I actually liked the other 3 better overall which in itself took me by surprise. I thought the Jewel palette was by far the most interesting of the release. The colors danced for me. I thinj it is because I don't love the purple shimmer or the tone of the mauve matte, but over all the palette is good
Unpleasant surprises
Nouveau by ABH sadly was not a hit for me. The bronze shimmer is gorgeous. Lilli is also gorgeous. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to this formula. I'm not sure if it was from Lilli or the pinky mattes. I also overall was uninspired by the color story once it was in front of me. The tones were just bland. I smacked on the bronze when I went to return it, and I adored thay shade. However, with the allegric reaction, I couldn't justify keeping it for 1 shade. This is the only palette I have ever returned.
Wet N Wild call me sunshine was also a dud. The mattes were good, shimmers were terrible.
Dirty Martini and Chocolate Martini by Glamlite were also unpleasant surprises. The mattes were bad. Shimmers good. However, I have learned the mattes perform well on a primer. I usually don't need a primer with mattes though so it took me a while to catch on.
I'm cool toned pale and I love Lavish. 💜
Retro glam is one of my favorites.... I also like to use it with the retro palette.......

I bought, on sales, a mystery bag from Lethal Cosmetics, just to try the brand. The Berlin 1989 palette was in there, I am obsessed since then! The colour story makes me so inspired! I never use the same shadow and never make the same look, my creativity is boiling with this palette! The mattes, the shimmers, the multi-chromes, I am amazed! And the quality is stunning, it stays on my wrinkled eyes without creasing the whole day! I would have never bought it! 😮😮😮
I only wish that Blend Bunny would make smaller palettes. I really want to try this brand but they're too big. I just realized I have more Oden's eye paletees than any other brand. Love their color stories.

Hope that brand does do some smaller palettes. I just do not buy big ones anymore. Already bought and decluttered the purple palette by Colourpop. I did buy some singles and a z palette from Give Me Glow and loved them! Never a whole palette. Maybe that's the trick. U look stunning! 💚💚💚💚

Thank you for keeping us updated on the Vitality saga 😂 I’ve literally been wanting it since I discovered you last fall and heard you rave about it! I was so disappointed when the site finally came back after the holidays and it was gone! I don’t want to order from Unearthly until I can get Vitality lol so glad it’s being reworked, hopefully it’s just as good!
A palette that let me down recently was actually the Pastel Garden palette. The mattes are beautiful and I’ve worn them countless times since I bought it, absolutely love them. However, the shimmers are a pain for me to work with because they’re too creamy and crease no matter what I do! I found a way to make it crease less, however it hasn’t entirely eliminated the issue. So annoying! But I love The Oracle highlighter palette and a single shadow I have from Bella Beaute Bar, I thought it would be perfect but instead I was just like wtf! As a shimmer lover it is a little irritating to have to dig into another palette to use, but oh well, it’s what I have to do. Maybe it’s just a problem with my palette though because I haven’t heard anyone else say their shimmers were this creasy. It’s not an issue I have to deal with often either considering I don’t have oily lids, I’m just so thrown off by it!

The palette I’m most disappointed in is Urban Decay Wild West. Ugh I can’t blend those mattes at all! A palette I bought on a whim is Alter Ego Coastal, and that palette is absolutely stunning. The mattes are so creamy, pigmented, and easy to blend. The shimmers are so buttery and soft. Plus, there is such a large variety of shades, I can make a brown look, gray look, pink, purple, blue, and smoky looks. It has so many possibilities!

I was diappointed with the BH Amore in Amalfi palette. You hyped up the brand for me and I expected better. It is not a bad palette by any means but I wanted more from the brand. But I had a positive experience with By Beauty Bay. I wanted a colorful palette and I wanted it cheap because I knew I would not use it often and I bought the New Mood palette... and I love it. I also learned with that palette that blue eyeshadow is not for me :D

I could have given the same review on the ND Retro Glam palette. I wanted so badly, it drove me crazy until I bought it. Just sorry I didn't return it to Sephora but the store was deep in the mall during Xmas 2022 shopping. The only way I can use it is as a "one and done" look. Blending is impossible-muddy mess!
When thinking about a palette that disappointed me, the first one that comes to mind is Urban Decay Born to Run. The colors were so pretty on pan, but they didn’t translate to my eyelids.
I think for me the ND retro and the huda rose quart were surprise loves oh and the Oden's eye collab palettes I didn't expect to love any of those the way I do. I haven't had a dud in a while thankfully!
I didn't plan to buy the Sea Talk palette by oden's eye but I'm so glad I did because it has become one of my favourite palettes.
The palette I was most disappointed by is the Hocus Pocus 2 palette by colourpop, the colours are extremely hard pressed. It's the only colourpop palette I have issues with.
Same on the Hocus Pocus 2 palette! It’s unfortunate too because I love the color story.

I'm with you on big palettes. I would probably be more interested in purchasing Bella Beauty if instead of a single huge palette they had released four 9 pan palettes( since that's pretty much what you're getting in the large palette which is fine if you will use all the shades but a waste if you don't. I rarely use all the shades in a 9 or 12 pan palette ) I might purchase a large multi-pan palette if the pans are magnetic & removable, then I could curate my own color stories. But otherwise, no. Takes up too much room. I have a small vanity & limited storage space.
#8 - how many pewter silver colors do you need in one palette? Theres at least five that look exactly the same here.

When I started getting more into Makeup CZcams I first got some of the nine pan Huda palettes because those were not so expensive to get as the bigger ones, so I thought that if I didn't like the formula it wouldn't be as big of a loss. To this date after trying both the smaller palettes and the big ones, the big ones are the ones that have stayed within my collection because with those the quality is always solid. I got tired of getting the small palettes from the brand, because it was sooo hit and miss which of them were good and which were just were mediocre. I think I decluttered the small palettes from my collection like a couple of years ago, because their quality was just not up to par with other brands palettes at a similar price point.

The palette that I expected to love but didn't was the abh volume 3 palette. I don't like the formula of the mattes or the shimmers. It was my first abh palette so I'm not sure if the formula is standard to the brand or not but I never bought another abh palette after that. The palette that I didn't expect to love so much was the colour-pop brown sugar palette, I would love to buy it again but it was discontinued so I can't get it again 😭
Bought natasha Denona love palette it gets muddy quick. Got her glam face palette in dark its beautiful. Her formula is inconsistent
I bought the Scooby palettes from Glamlite thinking I was gonna looove them because the color stories are to die for but those sting my eyes 😭 they are very unconfortable however, I bought the red velvet one also from Glamlite because it was on sale and it is my most used palette from the year, favourite red mate EVER 🤷🏻♀️
...one I ended up being disappointed by is the Hocus Pocus 2 from Colourpop, and I'm absolutely obsessed with the Mikayla Paht 2 and the ABH Riviera palette. I don't know why it gets such a bad rap?

I would say Juvia's Coffee palette and the Nomad palette. I ended up loving their Nomad palette and the Coffee palette is just meh. I'm glad I got it on sale. I'm trying to find the perfect neutral palette for me but I just can't seem to find it. I was going to try the Gloss Gods one but I heard the mattes aren't good. Taking suggestions from whoever reads this. 😮💨
I love Lorac's Simmering and Sparkling palettes. I think they reformulated a year or 2 ago and they're amazing now.
Earthy by Sigma is a nice neutral palette too. Beachy as well.
I purchased Jeffrey Stars Cremated palette because I really needed decent cool dark Smokey neutrals (which I used to get from OG KVD shadow and light palette). I was so excited finally gave in and purchased it and I’ve been nothing but disappointed. Maybe I’m just applying them wrong. If anyone has his palette, can you give a girl a clue because every time I apply it it looks great but an hour later, it’s all over my face and I look like a raccoon. Any suggestions are appreciated. I also I’m a bit disappointed in the rose gold palette from ABH. I like the formula, but I just feel limited.
Oh that Colourpop palette 🎨 is back now not sure if it sold out because of their current sale.
I loved the look of the Vitality palette but I cannot get the mattes to build and whenever I start blending they just go away and no matter how much I pack it on the lighter mattes are patchy.
I feel like it's something that I'm doing wrong but i just can't figure out what. I've tried with primer, without primer, different brushes, darker colours first, darker colour later.. I get decent looks and the duocromes works amazing for me, it's just the mattes.
Do anyone in the comments here have any advice? 😅
Surprised how much I love Adept's La Cienega palette❣I loved the Bella Beaute Bar Pastel palette's color story. 😻But most of the glitters ends up all on my face no matter what glitter primer or spray I use. BBB didn't respond to my email asking for help. 🙁
I feel the same about the lav_ish palette! Super disappointing, and i cant even get the dark grey shade to pick up on my brush so its unuseable (if anyone knows how to fix that plz let me know lol)

I had that same meh feeling with ND Glam palette… It’s fine, but it’s not the staple brown-neutral palette I was expecting it would become in my collection, to ground some colourful looks 😅 Am I expelled from the beauty community now?

The "Break The Rules" palette was a disappointment to me, as the shimmers just fell off onto my face. Tried glitter glue or spraying my brush, as well as spraying my face with setting spray once my eye look was done. Just creased and drifted off onto my face. Boo. The colours were gorgeous too, especially the orange to green duochrome 😫
Something that blew me out of the water wasn't an eye shadow. It was the Lethal shimmery blushes. I'm on pan #3 of Blossom and I use it EVERY DAY, even no makeup days 😆. It just matches my skin and undertone perfectly and makes me look youthful and awake. May have to riot if they ever stop making it and it's saving me money as I have zero urge to go hunting down new blushes.
I thought I was going to love Beachside Babe Eyeshadow Palette by ICONIC LONDON… couldn’t wait to dip my brush into it.. but haven’t 😔 the pallet fell flat to me once I got it in my hands.
The palette i didnt think i would love was the juvias place saharan palette, i use it loads and the charlie betty earth palette is amazing.
i was disappointed with the first bperfect Stacey marie carnival palette the other one are good but the OG i didnt love.

I thought I was gonna love the Nuevo palette from ABH but ended up quite disappointed with the formulas. The mattes are super dry and the shimmers have no sparkle at all. So all the looks just look very bland on me.

The most disappointed I’ve been with a palette I expected to love was Klarity Cosmetics evil mermaid palette. I fully expected to love it. It was my first purchase from them, but the mattes were atrocious! Unusable! And I am a shimmer girlie, I don’t really complain about mattes. I know how to work with blues, I have a lot of colorful palettes, but the blues in that palette maaaan they were everywhere else but not sticking to my eyelid. I couldn’t declutter it fast enough. I think that must be the worst palette I ever tried. Btw I agree with the huda nude medium specifically, it’s probably the best formula I’ve tried from the huda 9 pans

I don't think so. It was limited editon. I'm pretty sure she said about a year ago that it would not be restocked.
XI didn't like the Too faced Italian spritz. The shimmers were lousy. I decluttered mine

I buy all my makeup with the expectation that I will love it and use it to death. I don't usually impulse buy. I do my research and the prerequisite soul searching before bringing out the debit card. That being said I've got a couple of bad surprises: BH Lost in LA for the fact that it's fine but I just don't use it. Also the ND Love Palette for the fact that on my skin tone the color nuances aren't there and the fact I hate that silicone cake shadow formula the brand has. Both of those factors contribute to a lack of versatility int the palette to me. I was actually very close to de-cluttering the palette last week.

I was disappointed by "it's my pleasure" by Colourpop. I guess I got a bad palette because I have heard great reviews but mine is very hard pressed and low pigmented.
