He silenced all those idiots from a few years ago that said that he would never make it in the Premier League, while he was playing in various clubs in Italy. So what did he do? He went to United and showed that he is a goal scoring machine at 35-36 years old, even in the Premier League. He made everyone shut up.
And still to this day, he is scoring a lot of goals in AC Milan and he is close to 40 years old. With certain injuries and complications, he has still managed to score 25 goals in 37 league apperances for AC Milan.

Ronaldo scored 29 goals in 33 Serie A matches (not counting other competitions) at the age of 35-36 with arguably a worse squad than 2016-17 United and a team coached by Pirlo.
