East shore trail is one of the most beautiful bike trail in the US, biking on this trail to get to Sand Harbor. Bring your bike if you can or rent one. There are regular and electric bike rental at the hotel. 3 miles to get to Sand Harbor so I think about 15-20 minutes biking. FYI for anyone renting bikes at Big Blue Bike rental. Looks like we can park onsite and get validated parking.
The Lake is at 6100 ft elevation so it’ll be warm during the day but cold at night in August

I did some reading for Emerald Bay State Park and there are mostly great views from the hiking trails. Eagle Falls is most popular there, and it's fairly easy the first 1/3 mile to the view of the water fall. We don't have to complete the whole trail.
