The Beast Summoner: To Slay a Cursed Predator (Story & SCPs as Dragons Redraw)

- About a year ago I turned SCPs into Dragons and created a new version of the SCP Foundation in a fantasy setting called ‘The Slayers of Cursed Predators’. In this episode I’m finally bringing them back, but with subscriber created SCPs. I asked the awesome artists of the PopCross Community to submit their own SCPs and I took four to redraw into Dragons in my Art Style.
The story for this episode is a continuation of the latest arc of Multiverse Tales in which former SCP employee from another universe, Dresden Oakland, is calling in a favour owed to him by the Beast Chronicler, Tayrun Jaanavar. With Tayrun, Kayla, Charlie and a sort of Kiwi version of Jack Bright, Dresden will attempt to kill Dresden’s universe’s version of ‘The Hard to Destroy Reptile’ also known as the Unkillable Dragon.

The Stalking Ghost Face/Ghost Face
This creature will stalk its pray for a while before actually killing them, these creatures are quite smart and will set up a plan to kill their prey. These creatures usually travel in a par of two or three.
The Crystal Lake Night Hunter/Jason Vorhees - There should be something about how this is only a single specimen, that only lives near a lake at a camp. Only people who come near the camp will be hunted by this creature. It’s tail is like a machete and seems to have a mask on but it’s just a part of its skin. A scorched nightmare and this creature were seen fighting once.
The Masked Trapping JigSaw/Saw
The creatures bring their meals into a massive maze and the one who survives it will go free but the ones that get stuck or don’t make it out are it’s prey. There is a cult that will help a jigsaw because they believe the people who the masked trapping jigsaw chooses as prey don’t enjoy life in turn they believe that they should die for not enjoying life.

Man I missed Kalya and Charlie. Dresden is also such a good villain. I love hero and villain team-ups. It would have been cool if Tayrun told Dresden that he used the Multiversal Orb to take Ulitus's Overseer energy, since Dresden doesn't trust the orb in anyone's hands.

You're very welcome! Honestly, It has given me some very interesting ideas for more creatures like it! Where people can drive them like mechs, but they're actual creatures without any sentience. So thank YOU for some great creative fuel for future episodes :D

I love that we finally get to see Dresdan in action! The mental image of him firing cracked off parts of his own body as projectiles is way cooler than it has any fighter being. It was also awesome seeing Dresdan talk to more people in a (sort of) non-antagonistic way, and he bounces off of Tayrun and Kayla really well (personal highlight being his such genuine confusion towards Kayla laughing). Also Sir Bright being there did nothing but add to the story in every regard. The entire story and all of the art in this episode were supremely superb, and I’m super excited to see what you plan on doing with Venomizing your characters! Keep up the stellar work!
I love how confused Dresden is by Tayrun's kindness and inocense, I hope their bromance is gonna develop later down the line. The whole episode was fire btw, you had me on the edge of my seat with your undoubtedly beautiful writing and storytelling skills.

How about Elloise Ludum makes a game, taking and supposedly Unkillable beings in the Multiverse, including Unkillable Kate, and putting them in the marina with each other with entities designed by overseers to pacifically kill the Unkillable (To be honest, this seems right up her damn Ally)

Is it wrong that I kinda wish that Charlie was able to take on his own form? I’m surprised that Benny hasn’t given him a box of mech armor scraps he could make a makeshift body out of.

That was one hell of an episode. Dresdon really did create the biomechs, which aparentky makes him immune to their anti overseer abilities. Gotta say, it was good to see the hard to destroy, finally be destroyed. Also Dr Bright is one of my favorite SCP characters.
For the new community redraw, been hoping for more venomized episodes. Couple questions:
Can we create our own Symbiote? Like make their personality good or evil?
Do we come up with how being Venomized enhances and alters their abilities?
Are there any limits?
The art and story in this episode was on POINT. This might be my favorite episode of the year. Great work dude! (Also love the draconic self insert.)

3. Do you really believe that Dino is any better than Benny's mechs!? I know Kayla hasn't had the most "comfortable" experience in them... But that line felt like too much disrespect for my absolutely favorite character...

I think it would be really interesting to see wings of fire dragons from your style. I’m thinking darkstalker(cause of the myths/fear surrounding him and his powers), scarlet(cause of her face and she’s scary) or peril(cause firescales) would look cool!
I'm 12 minutes in and I already love this episode! The Smashosaurus got a great laugh out of me and your Jack is simply delightful, I'll give my final opinion soon, later.

Damn, this was just so fun to watch and listen to, I’m hopeful that we’ll someday see some sort of redemption for Dresden even if it doesn’t get to the point of him becoming a part of the Sharp Gang I just hope he can be fully seen as an ally at some point, as for next month’s idea I’m super curious to see what’s in store for our venomized heroes, since Dresden mentioned the super school for the Kid and Anna at the very end I feel like the universe from the My Hero Academia venomized videos will have some sort of relevance, shoot Chris, you really know how to build hype for your Multiverse Tales, I personally loved both the original and the dragon version of the “Insert Name Here” creature, the design is just so cool and appealing and cool, oh my god

Well my mind is officially blown! They killed the UNKILLABLE DRAGON! I mean I think it’s amazing that they finally managed to pull it off, but it was considered to be near impossible until now. Not really sure if this convinces me or other viewers that there is good somewhere in Dresdon but I guess we’ll just have to wait an see if we get any results about that topic. However one good idea for your next Multiverse tales or community redraw story could be Sterling, Jake, and Anna going to dimension H-333 to investigate the school to see if it is up to code for the kiddos. However until you do that, why not try my idea for an Owl House focused episode. Please😥
Just now realizing Dresden is very likely an anti-villain. Basically a villain with noble intentions and not necessarily evil, but with very villainous means of achieving their desired outcome, while also not entirely against the protagonist due to similar ethics, despite being on opposing sides.
In Dresden's case, the villain part is that he has done irreparable psychological damage to Unkillable Kate(the anti-hero of the group), and intends to kill most if not all overseers and the Reaper, while the anti part is that he was simply the surviving victim of a corrupt overseer and believes that the multiverse will thrive without their existence. On top of that, his beliefs are simultaneously aligned with and challenged by the Sharp Gang, namely with Tayrun who himself is an overseer, but among the few who uses their power to make the multiverse a better place, and tries to avoid lethality wherever possible.
That conflict likely applies to Astra as well, where Dresden's gripes with her mostly stem from her being the daughter of the overseer that ruined him, and her own messy history as an overseer, but he also acknowledges that she's trying to do better and does not share her mother's cruelty. And unlike Astra, even though he does have some redeeming qualities and even heroic moments like in this episode, he is likely beyond redemption because of all he has done and probably won't seek atonement after his goal is accomplished(if it is). And if Kate has anything to say about it, he ain't gonna get that chance either.
This was awesome. So glad you worked crossfire in. Kinda makes me wonder about the energy makeup of your personas though. Was Dresden just surprised to see it was a living robot that looked organic or is there something special about the popcrosses of the multiverse? It seems like he wouldn’t be surprised by a transformer. Surly he’s seen robots with souls before. And robots that change form are cool but nothing unusual. So it would have to be the specific form it took right? Make there should be an episode about some “counsel of popcross” to give some more lore. Or you could just do dispicable me as dragons. And I had an idea that I feel should be saved for October but I’d like to get it out before I forget. A group of teenage demon hunters specializing in demons made from humans because they’re dog has a gem of the angelic that purifies and revives human demons. They will drive around the country in a blue and green van with orange flowers and mostly deal with greedy real estate agents that agreed to be cursed in exchange for a demon general’s help. I’m sure you can tell what I’m suggesting.
Another thing Dr. Bright is not allowed to do: Dr. Bright, you are not allowed to "kill-steal" from this point onward.

Just wondering, if you don't have any ideas for what to do with a Folklore Creatures episode, why not do something with Disney characters, like you did with the Princess Demons? Ian from Onward could be quite creepy if painted in such a way.

If I participate in this one, I'd probably pick Tayrun, not only because I have a feeling that tells me most people probably wouldn't pick him (poor Tayrun), but also because I feel like there is potential in adding draconic elements to the design. 1) Have you ever heard of the CZcams artist Mei Yu? You, her and Joe Dempsey should make a three-way artists' collaboration organization.
2) What's the theme of Friday's video? Is it another Street Fighter video, seeing as the game comes out then?
3) Is Captain Derable going to meet Dresden at some point? He seems to have a knack for befriending previously-antagonistic Overseers.

Amazing episode, incredible art, and it’s always so nice to see what the community comes up with. I did want to ask: did you use my idea for a transformer-related M.T.? I’d been asking for a while, but seeing the Crossfire/Cybertron bit made me really excited to see an idea of mine possibly used in a video. Even if it was just coincidence, I’ll have to think of another idea to start asking for. Loved today’s episode and I can’t wait for next month!

OOOh thats a good idea! I've never submitted to the site so I can't help, but hopefully someone knows!
If you want to submit something to the SCP Foundation Wikidot, I think you first need to have a Wikidot account. So I recommend setting that up before anything else. Then I'd recommend you read the article on How To Write An SCP. I've thought about doing it as well, but never made the time to do so.

Remember my hypothetical idea about the Sharp Gang blackmailing Dresdan? They don’t even need to attack any overseers with bio-mechs, they just need to tell Dresdan that they know exactly where a good percentage of his bio-mechs are. I didn’t think far enough ahead of what they can force out of Dresdan due to the bio-mechs. What happens when things from other universes are in a universe about to be killed by the Reaper? Even if the protocol is to return them to their universe Dresdan has been keeping universe ending threats in containment. Would it be possible that the fact that Dresedan made the bio-mechs be canceled out by the fact his prison is keeping a bunch of dangerous things in-check? Sorry if this is badly worded or confusing.

Those are good questions that I can't say I have a solidified canonical answer for yet :P I will for sure think about them!
For an early 4th of July video, draw U.S. Presidents as either Superheroes/Supervillains, Mech Suits, or in The Suicide Squad
And to avoid any controversy, use Old-timey presidents like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Benjamin Franklin

Is it kinda bad how I feel that if Tayrun got a Klyntar (symbiote) on him no matter if the symbiote had already been attached to a super villain or a serial killer or Satan, it will almost imidiently calm down and become an ally cause of how much of a pure soul Tayrun is.
The multiversal school thing gave me a thought.

Glad to see this two back in a multiverse story, quite interested to see where you take this story in the future. Then again, I must ask for a Chainsaw man demons as Sea Monsters, where Ghost is a jellyfish kraken from the deep dark, Denji is a flying dire shark with chainsaw flippers, and Bombs is a Xenomorph lizardfish merfolk.
0:16 I'm honestly not mad that my design didn't get picked because I had a lot of fun with this one and I was up against some amazing competition with their own incredible designs. Congrats to Sylas Fayne, Insert Name Here, Mes Der Kunst Planet and Logan Sansom for being chosen since I loved all of your designs and they turned out to be amazing Dragons. I especially loved Sam Sylas Fayne's, and Logan Sansom's designs the most since I will admit, since I really love dragons that have an almost primordial/ethereal look to them; so seeing a pair of dragonst that look like they were forged from the Earth itself was pretty interesting and cool. The Smashasaurus and Fiery Fox like dragons also looked badass and gave off cool warbeast vibes with the air of being great companions from a D&D campaign...which is amazing. Plus, I really loved how your design for all of these dragons...since I think they look like great additions to your vast dragon collection. I'm extremely excited for the next Community Redraw since I love that your giving us a chance to design a venomized version of one of the members of he Sharp Gang since I love drawing cool creatures/monsters, and I genially love your venomized series since they have amazing stories and designs. So I'm definitely looking forward to creating an awesome design for a Venomized Multiverse Tales character...which is badass. I already have an idea in mind so we'll see how it goes based off of the choices I have. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video.

I got an idea for the next community redraw, How about we ask him to draw for us for the next community redraw videos instead of us drawing for him. (Just like the extract opposite of his community redraw that he always does for his past community redraw videos but it not part of the Multiverse Tales story)

I’ve got a couple ideas of my own that I’d like to put out there (idk if they’d fit in the story, or how so, but yeh I’m just gonna share em).
Uhh my first idea is. a cameo idea; when I realized Tamika got one, I remembered there were some other stand-out characters in the narrated demon series, two of which are… Nakia and Spinsawclion? Food for thought, food for thought.
I’ve also got an idea for a team-up, maybeee… Mara & Vasilia? The two inflicted-with-alternate-creature-forms-before-learning-to-accept-and-control-them gals, I think that’d be pretty interesting.
