Hi, I only will till it about an inch of depth. This is enough to take care of the surface weeds. If you till too deep it will bring up weed seeds that are dormant, and allow them to germinate. I also like to use my wheel hoe just to cut the roots of the weed seedlings.
@@stephenfestus9268 can you please provide me with the parts numbers to the drive belts that accompany the TroyBilt Junior. I have no literature and have had no success with troy Bilt them selves . Much appreciated I believe the flat belt is 22.5 inches long and I am at a lose as to the length of the V belt for this model. Any info is truly appreciated.
The tiller is forward rotating. Which is the better way to cultivate. Counter rotating tillers can break up virgin earth quicker but are prone to picking up rocks which can damage the internal gears.
I could not find a model number, but on the label it says 1981 Troy Bilt Junior. I was able to find a seller on Ebay named moochdawgs who sells a reprint copy of the exact same model. I hope this helps.
That Junior tiller sure seems navigable compared to the Horse tiller! Like the tip on using it to till top soil for weed control. Will be doing that on the outside of my garden! I used agriculture-grade weed barrier in my garden. It's a bit of an eye sore but less maintenance for me.
First try penetrating fluid like Liquid Wrench. Second if still stuck, heat the wheel hub and hammer on it to break up rust. Third, still stuck like mine, you will need to have it torched off and replaced with new wheel. I did not have any success with a wheel puller or air hammer.
There is a "locked/till" position and a "free" position. Take the cotter pin out on the axle and move the wheel closer towards the machine then put your pin back in. Hopefully that was your trouble
If you have to run on partial choke, try backing out the main carb jet (under the bowl) a 1/4 turn. I have the same tiller, it's a gem.
I wonder if you could weld a plate to the back of the tiller and attach Planet jr sweeps to increase cultivation to 2 ft width
How far apart have you got your rows of corn, and the spacing of your tomatoes?
Nice
How many inch depth do you have the tines set at?

Which way do the tines rotate?

I’m looking for the Manual for this any clue what model this is?
I will look at the tiller to see if I can find some ID numbers.

Not wise wearing flip flops while using a rotor tiller !!!
My rototiller junior the wheels don't move the stuck? Any help
What you wrote didn’t make sense. What’s the problem!

Take the pins out. Add lubricant as suggested. Start tilling. They’ll break loose on their own
