Unpopular opinion but i think Murad loved his mother more than any other child loved her. Remember the death scene of Murad. He remembered only her mother's beauty while breathing last breath. And after death, he found her mother as an angel who hugged him. Ibrahim is a dawrf sultan. Never tried to understand his mother. Despite all the differences between Murad and kosem, Murad loved kosem in an unique way. But Kosem had a snake in her womb. Atike!

Ibrahim must be crowned as the BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR here, his acting skill has emerged completely when he was locked up. Best Actor was MURAD....I couldn't explain...his eyes both were on fire when he thinks about killing...his eyes both were soft & tired when his on the verge of hopelessness, both were turning to rage when he thinks war. MURAD EYES ....BOTH COULD PERFECTLY ACT. ow! What a gifted Murad!

I’m sorry but Ibrahim was the worst sultan ever. He was cruel, lecherous and not to mention,mad as hell. Apparently he also had psychotic episodes of rage and he ordered 208 concubines to be drowned. I can truly understand why Kösem Sultan was pressurised to approve a fatva issued for his execution.

Note that by this time, Kosem is like Safiye Sultan (or perhaps worse) and Turhan is like the young Kosem confronting Safiye.

Many truths have been hidden and distorted by Historians to make it look like the ottoman Empire was Magnificent and Powerful. but Turhan made it possible for the throne to be passed through brothers. She even prevented Gulnus Sultan from killing Mehmed's brothers prince Suleiman and prince Ahmed.
She knew when to give up power to those with more experience. She didn't grab power and ruin the empire just to keep herself as the ruler. What she did she did for the good of the state and her son. Same thing Kösem should have done when Murad became an adult and gained experience.

How Ibrahim gave the earrings Ahmed gave Kosem to a woman like Sivekar. The earrings present the great true love that existed between Ahmed and Kosem. He offered the earrings as a symbol of the eternal love that would exist after his death to Kosem. It's really ugly that Ibrahim did this because Kosem has several times saved Ahmed's Throne that Safya, Halimé, Delruba and many others wanted to take from Ahmed
Ibrahim's actor performed very well. Viewers will always sympathize with him.
The only mistake is not to kill turhan earlier. But yeah that is the destiny. Kossem have her time so much. But if turhan died and she is the regent for mehmed again that would be a lot diferent to the history. Turhan is just not ready to handle that huge empire and dynasty compare to kossem when she is with murad.
And that is what makes Turhan the last powerful Sultana
Turhan never really killed kosem, that was fake and there's some reasons that they made it look like that way. Turhan was respectful but her power was all fake, the last ACTUAL member of sultanate of women was the strongest sultana ever existed, kosem sultan.

What a star worthy production. The expressions of the actors the respect to history and their language. Ibrahim was one of the most dangerous ones but ut explains here why. I am greek we were under the ottoman occupation FOR300 years yet we are never raught both sides only hate :( my grand parents were from asia minir they survived the 1922 genocide barely yet they always told us that their homeland was like a paradise before regimes changed . Not all turks were criminals and barbarians. This series proves it, like every nation people lift up their leaders as easily as they stone them. What a fantastic historu series . Thank you for the trandlation. Translating the old language is not easy. I love how the characters age gracefully let us not forget thar most were not over 50 years old. This reminds me of a greek series called byzantium where all the unhapiness of being powrful unveilled. Intrigues and murders. No culture has an innicent page in history. Each made a difference though in our world. Lessons to be learned. A mother will always learn to fight and protect. The "child" in this tragedy has always been the dynasty.
Well said, we need to be in touch with our roots & history to learn from them & to be proud of their legacy & sacrifice for giving us a better life. Hopefully we can empathise more on people who are oppressed & displaced by civil wars in modern times. Sometimes I think we need Ottoman Sultans to rule us again, democracy does not do the job well.

Guys someone mentioned here all of us die hard fans should watch the final episode together, wont that be awesome, all of us from all over world maybe New Years eve seeing as we have to remain indoors. I am also a massive game of thrones fan and that was done too where ppl watched together. For those who love dramas like this I watched the Story of Yangxi Palace, also has English subtitles, was fantastic too, just as riveting.

I really wanna hate Turhan just cause I respect Kosem so much but, seeing her calm here and knowing how well she helped the empire for so long after, really makes me like and respect her anyways. What a great show. Humans and everything mixed up with being human; even the "bad" guys aren't all bad; "good" guys aren't all good. Except Kemakeş! Goodness through and through 🥰😍
She had to do what she needed to do to protect her son. Also she is the rightful Valide Sultana. Kosem was too power greedy and don’t want to pass that title to Turhan. Kosem doesn’t want to accept that her reign is over.

Turhan never ordered kosems death. Everyone hated kosem because she got way too arrogant. One day, Turhan dared to ask kosem something regarding little mehmeds schelude and kosem got so mad that she shout on Turhan Infront of everyone, humiliated her and in the end ordered aghas to throw Turhan out of harem like a trash for a day so she won't see her face for the rest of the day, forcing Turhan to go sleep in her son's room...

I get it why Ibrahim loves Humasha. Growing up he lived in fear of execution. Humasha told him the fable of Sabre furs. Even though it’s just a tale, it’s real to Ibrahim. Humasha made him feel safe, even if it’s just with a story. She’s a protective mother figure to Ibrahim more than Kosem.
