Which is the best all around tripod? (Ifootage TC6s, Sirui W1204, Manfrotto 055, 535 and Befree)

- In this video, I review the Ifootage Tc6S, Sirui W1204, Manfrotto 055, Manfrotto 535, and the Manfrotto Befree. This is my biggest comparison to date and it was definitely tedious to film this one.
Obviously there is not such thing as the perfect tripod but what comes close enough is the best all rounder tripod. Check this video out to see which tripod comes out on top between this 5 popular tripods.

I already own 2 Sirui tripods and agree that they are the best bang for the buck. I have the mini size Manfrotto that I got off Amazon for $20.00 and it is cool if you don’t have much room. Overall a great video. Looking forward to more.

Great review Bernard! It's just lacking the overpriced Peak Design Tripod hehe. I have the BeFree Tripod with the fluid 3 axis head and I love it :)

Great reviews Bernard. Although the comparison is only around the tripod that you currently owns which cannot be representative of the many other brands out there. But I have to say it is difficult to do this kind of comparison as you can never put every single one of them here. In terms of affordability and even functionality, there are quite a few other China brands which are comparable to the ones you have reviewed. Personally I have been using QZSD tripod for a while due to the compactness for my travel photography and of course price. I have also recently purchased another brand called Innorel (RT75C). And I must say both the brands that I have used definitely stand up to the specs that the ones you have covered and in terms of price, beats all the tripods you have reviewed. Do have at look at them. (I have bought them on Taobao so pricing is even better than most other online platforms).
haha. Yeah I totally agree with what you say. Not possible for me to review all tripods, especially the lesser known ones. For me I was trying to make a comparison between the "popular" ones as these tripod models are relatively known in the market. Probably people are already considering them but I just wanted to give them alternative options in case their needs are different or if they didn't know about the cons of each tripod.

You should definitely try Peak design. Havn't seen anything quite like it for travel.

Ergonomics is very individual. For example I like twist locks better than those other mechanism where you can even hurt your fingers. So in the ergonomics category one can easily give other points. I still don't get why you give a 4th place when there are 2 3rd places? I'd even add the points of 3rd and 4th place (and divide it by 2) when there are 2 3rd places. ;)
True true. But i guess it’s unavoidable that certain aspects are based on my preferences haha.
Also, yeah this rating system isn’t perfect but I was too tired under the hot sun to think of the perfect system. I just wanted to get home for lunch 😂

Great video!! Are there any differences between the TC6 and the TC6S? I have read of both versions, but on their website I can only find the TC6.
Hmm. I’m not 100% sure about this but if im not wrong, the tc6s is the updated version of the tc6s. They made a couple of changes and discontinued the old one I think.

Interesting video but I think when it comes to tripods you may have G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome). I did take a look
at TC6S tripod but opted for the TC7 with a Manfrotto 405 geared head instead since I use large format cameras as well as medium format (film) and I get better control getting the cameras level. It has turned out to be an excellent combination. For digital I have decided to keep my Gitzo EX 2531 which has a variable angle offset column combined with an Arca-Swiss P0 head. By the way, the price for the TC6S is $314.00 with free shipping on the Ifootage site as of 10/31/21.
Hi man. Thanks for your support. 😁 and.. tbh, I have gas for more than just tripods. Hahahaha. But to be fair, I use all my tripods quite a fair bit depending on the situation. And I also sold the manfrotto 535 for the tc6s. The only tripod that kinda collects dust now is the 055. 😁

I’m not really aware of that model. Haha. But among all the sirui tripods, the one I have stood out the most and suited my needs most at the point of time. I think it’s safe to say that sirui tripod in general will be value for money but I really hate the twist lock system 😂
