As a person who live in Lahad Datu, I can confirm that :
1. I agree about that finance thing to live in Sabah *today* is the same as we live in peninsula Malaysia, even I live in outback of Sabah
2. About the pirates issue, now it is lesser than back in 2013.. as from my point of view😅
3. Another stereotype that I've always heard about Sabah is PTI problem, uneducated people and economic problem that always rely from peninsula Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak people similar to US country which are not so many muslim people
