Amtrak 51 The Cardinal Passing Connersville 7 HOURS LATE

This was actually my first time catching the Cardinal as it came through on its run from Washington DC to Chicago. Normally, the train is scheduled to pass through at about 3:30 am, but this day they ran exceptionally late! According to the train’s log, they were stuck in Prince, West Virginia for about 6 and a half hours and they had absolutely no chance at recovering that time.
In the video, you can hear me chat with the conductor for a second. I teased that they were running “a little behind.” He said “all night long.” I can imagine it was a rough night for them!
