I too remember when kaiba summoned his most iconic boss monster, psychic end punisher, after all who could forget when he summoned this against yugi. I was so hype when I pulled this card from the legend of psychic end punisher set back in 2002.
I knew where the duel was going as soon as he used his most prized monster cards: Junk Synchron and Cyber Dragon, the glue that holds his whole strategy together. The most iconic pieces of his deck.
I think the reason they don’t let you is because during stage 2 when you have enough points you’re likely to run into the same person over and over again. If someone knows your deck they can play around the cards you might have more easily.
We got MBT lost to Jaiden Yuki deck while using Tear and Farfa lost to Seto using Kashtira, now we need Distant to lose to Atem while using Scareclaw to complete the trinity.

Or was it prevented because Infinite Impermanence specifically targets "one face-up monster your opponent controls"? or both? 😅😅
Late response, but jar resolved because imperm targets the face up monster, which, because jar was destroyed by torrential, it no longer became a face up monster
